"Death and Night and Blood" as written by Hugh Alan Cornwell, David Greenfield, Brian John Duffy and Jean Jacques Burnel....
When I saw that Sparta in his eyes
Young death is good
And we decided that to die there
Was no greater love

Hey, little baby!
Don't you lean down low
Your brains exposed
And it's starting to show
Your rotten thoughts
Yuck!

I was attracted to a night torchlight parade
And there I came
Home is a black leather jacket
Fitting sweetly to my brain

Hey, little baby!
Don't you lean down low
Your brains exposed
And it's starting to show
Your rotten thoughts
Yuck!

I will force my body
To be my weapon and my statement

Hey, little baby!
Don't you lean down low
Your brains exposed
And it's starting to show
Your rotten thoughts
Yuck!

General CommentThis song is great. Black and White is one of their best albums I think.

As this song goes, it's obviously about suicide.

Song MeaningThis song is about Japanese writer Yukio Mishima (or rather about the themes of his writing)... the title comes from a sentence of his that is often quoted ""But my heart's yearning towards Death and Night and Blood would not be denied."
