This is about bronies. They communicate by stomping.
When I was twelve
While checkin' the mail
I was admiring the car
Of the man next door
And thinking to myself
One of these days
Gonna have me a house like that
With a big red door
And his lawn was mowed
And his grass was green
And the driveway was edged
And all the shrubs were trimmed so perfectly
I had a crush on his wife
And I played ball with his son
I pondered how much money he made
Went inside and turned the TV on
And he was layin'
In an overflowing bathtub of red water
The first and the last time he ever relaxed
And they said
He had a smile on his face
His final offer
The steam on the mirror said one more thing to say
I was watching TV
Watching one of Mom's famous rice krispie treats
Watchin' Tom and Jerry
I heard a car horn beep
I ran to the window
His wife and son were home
With bags of stuff they got at the mall
I went in my room and got my glove and ball
I leapt off the steps
And asked his son could he played
And his son looked at his wife and his wife told his son
I guess it'll be ok
That beautiful woman
She walked in that beautiful house
When I realized I forgot my hat I said I'll be back and turned around
And he was laying
In an overflowing bathtub of red water
The first and the last time he ever relaxed
And they said
He had a smile on his face
His final offer
The steam on the mirror said I got one more thing to say
There was screaming
There was crying
There was sirens
I thought I was dreamin'
And the sun was shinin'
It was a beautiful day
The wife was talking to an officer
And through the noise I heard her say
And he was laying
In an overflowing bathtub of red water
The first and the last time he ever relaxed
And they said
He had a smile on his face
His final offer
The steam on the mirror said
I got one more thing to say
And he was laying
In an overflowing bathtub of red water
The first and the last time he ever relaxed

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve.
The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future.
Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere"
The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988.
"'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it."
"There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

“Midnight” is a song about finding a love that is so true that it provides a calming feeling through every storm. Ed Sheeran reflects on his good fortunes in landing someone with such peace and support and speaks of not fearing the dark days because he knows they’ll all end in the safety nets of her arms.
“Well, good morning there / What a way to start the day / With everything laid bare,” Ed Sheeran sings in the first verse, enthusiastic to be waking up beside his woman. He apologizes for missing her calls in the second verse and promises to return them because for him, speaking to her is the most important thing. “Well, I get lost inside my head / In this chaos, you’re my calm / And I will find my feet again / ‘Cause еven the worst days of my life will always еnd / At midnight in your arms,” sings Ed Sheeran in the chorus, revelling in his good luck.
Whats most interesting is that this is written from his perspective as a twelve-year-old of this mans life . He envied this man, who in a childs eyes, was well maritally, financially, and socially. This was his first time encountering suicide. I kind of forget where i was going with this because i was a little drunk when i started writing this so i will have to wrapp it up later.
Pretty damn good song- different for Rehab, theres no rap in it at all. Pretty depressing song- I guess its saying money can't buy everything.
Yeah, I agree. Good song.
Man this song is so f**king good! Never heard a song this good in such a long time.
i love this song...kind of depressing...but i like songs like that
such a good laidback, depressed song. but it's sooo good.
basically about money can't buy everything in this world... and i think the dad ended up dying, committing suicide, obvisouly why it's named Red Water. sad song, but it's good as fuck.
i agree with the last guy,but what's the last thing he said?
elihall5, if you mean the part about the steam on the mirror, I think it pretty much means he wrote "goodbye" on the steamed up mirror or something like that, then slit his wrists in the tub. Like the others said, he had everything but still wasn't happy.
anyone can appear to be happy but you don't know the internal struggles that person may be facing. this song saved my life.
this song is about someone commiting suicide.
