"Apology" as written by and Shawn/thompson Milke....
Sweat drips in my eyes, screams of lust we cry
Tonight you are everything to me, you're everything,
You're everything to me no more
As I wake from this perfect dream
I'll escape from Eden's walls, I can not stay and live this lie?
For I must think only of myself

And to think that you would not be scared or surprised if I'd severed all these ties
this is the end

I'll lose myself in anguish for tonight
Help me get over you
One last false apology
Help me get over you

I feel so numb to see this bitter end of beautiful illusions, would this be the same?
Broken pieces will not mend to save our past now, go away,

I'll lose myself in anguish for tonight
Help me get over you
One last false apology
Help me get over you

Now we must let go, urgency overwhelms me as I must restrain my flood of tears
I refuse to be slave to your false beauty again,

I'll lose myself in anguish for tonight
Help me get over you
One last false apology
Help me get over you

In my mind, blood drips from your eyes.
A beautiful last goodbye.

General CommentOk so this song is REALLY deep. I think what it's about is a guy who recently had a break up with his girlfriend. He still loves her and in the beginning where it's apparent they're 'doin the dirty,' (sweat drips in my eyes, screams of lust we cry) I think he's just dreaming about this. I realised that because he sings "as I wake from this perfect dream," and it's so perfect to him because she was the best thing in his life. When he wakes up, he wants to "sever all these ties" and despite thinking he has done so, he still realises she is still alive. So I think in the end, he dreams about, or contemplates killing his ex girlfriend to 'sever that last tie' if you will. Hence "in my mind, blood drips from your eyes. A beautiful last goodbye." Throughout the song, it seems his emotions go from a passionate love for this girl, the a burning hate for her, because of the way she torments his mind.

General CommentI think that this song is about a dude who cheats on his partner and engages in sexual intercourse hence " Sweat drips in my eyes (talking about the sweat from the activity taking place.)

Screams of lust we cry (Lust, come on people you know what that means, theyre moaning)
Tonight you are everything (He is also concerned about her pleasure)
    You’re everything
You’re everything to me no more
As I wake from this perfect dream
    I’ll escape from Eden’s walls
Can I not stay and live this lie? (After he is done, he realizes the bad thing he's done)
Go away and I’ll think only of myself (He needs time to think of what he is going to tell his girlfriend)

"Help me get over you" (also means he still loves the girl he cheated with but he knows they cant be together so he is apologizing for hurting her deeply)

General CommentNo need to answer my last comment, it's "not just from your eyes,' I figured that out.

Water_wings, lust doesn't necessarily mean sexual lust. Sweat does not always refer to sex or sweat could be a metaphor meaning tears. And later he says "You're everything to me no more" so I don't think he was concerned about her pleasure. Other than that, it's a good theory.

General CommentI think this song is actually about a relationship of lies...
Simply for the reason that he talks of a 'false apology'
See, if he really did feel bad about something, it wouldn't be a false apology, I don't think. So, if you break it down keeping that in mind, the relationship had a lot of lies in it.
I think with the "And to think that you would not be scared or surprised if I’d severed all these ties" its him thinking she doesn't love him. Hence, why she wouldn't care at all if it ended.
And, I think he refers to lust as the relationship. There are two types of relationships, ones that develop off lust, and ones that develop of compatibility. I think that the screams of lust are saying they lusted for each other in the beginning and now that they aren't lusting anymore, they are arguing all the time. The lust also goes with the "Tonight, you're everything... you're everything to me no more." Because she was everything, and then all of a sudden no more, because the lust ran out.
I think it also refers to lust in the lines "I feel so numb to see this bitter end of beautiful illusions" and "I refuse to be slave to your false beauty again"
At first, she was beautiful due to lust, but afterwards, he realized it was his mind playing tricks on him and making her better than she is.
And, lastly, I think the chorus is referring to him not being sad.
Because, him losing himself in anguish and needing help to get over her... I think its kind of like "I'm sorry, I'm sad this is happening, too..." but its a false apology...

So, I think it all boils down to a lustful, dishonest relationship that is ending.

Sorry I said lust so much. =/

General Commentthis song is about how the couple doesnt have anything more than sex. when they have sex, it brings them close to each other. outside of it, they have nothing, and everything is a lie

then he breaks up with her because he knows its not real love

    idk thats my opinion
