There's so much I want to say now
But it's too late I know
There's no way to heal these wounds now
And my heart bleeds for you

And our love is crashing
Like a tidal wave
Coming over me

[Chorus]
So I wanted you to know
That I finally let you go
After all I've held on to
This is my goodbye to you
I was always there for you
But you never saw the truth
And the reason that I know
Is I've finally let you go

Yesterday you were my best friend
But tomorrow took you away
There's not much for me to say now
Just goodbye, farewell

And our love is crashing
Like a tidal wave
Coming over me

[Chorus]

And every time I close my eyes
My heart is bleeding deep inside
But now my eyes are open
And I'm never gonna be the one for you
The one for you

[Chorus]

I finally let you go
Let you go
Let you go so this is my goodbye to you

I'm going to disagree with rkbloc2, I don't feel it's saying that ('F-You') to an ex.

It says to me that deep inside your heart you still a place for her there. But you're not in love with her anymore. And you've moved on, saying your farewells.

You loved her completely when you was in the relationship with her, and was always there for her. But you've relised you're never gonna be the one for her. And has been able to relise that now he's let her go.

"Yesterday you were my best friend But tomorrow took you away"

Favorite two lines of the song. And it is lovely song.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
