1992, where are you?
I turn on the radio
To hear the voices I heard back when
Life was a TV show

Call it nostalgia or denial
'Cause I'm not too sure what I'd find
If I looked to the future and gave up on everything behind

Since I'm still alive
I don't want to let this go 'cause it's been too long
Since I felt like I belonged

1992, sweet memories
Of everything that I was
I knew I'd never be one of the Goonies
But I'd pretend just because

Call it nostalgia and you'd be right
'Cause I'm a sucker for days past
Maybe I can find a way to make yesterday last

Since I'm still alive
I don't want to let this go 'cause it's been too long
Since I felt like I belonged

Pictures hide in their picture frames
Letters fade and decay
The only way I'll ever see tomorrow
Is if I live for today

Since I'm still alive
I don't want to let this go 'cause it's been too long
Since I felt like I belonged

General CommentThis song is a tribute to Dave's past and the nostalgia he feels for his experiences he'll have never have again. It's all about letting go of yesterday, taking careful notice of what you've got today, and looking to the future.
