"How Much I Feel" as written by and David Robert Pack....
I don't know how this whole business started
Of you thinkin' that I have been untrue
But if you think that we'd be better parted
It's gonna hurt me, but I'll break away from you
Well, just give me the sign and I will be gone, yeah

(That's how much I feel) feel for you, baby
(How much I need) well I need your touch
(How much I live) I live for your loving
That's how much (that's how much)
That's how much, that's how much

I sleep alone, and late at night I'm dreamin'
Of the togetherness that seems to be leaving me
I'd give it all and then I'd give some more
If you would only love me like you had before
Well, take hold of my hand and all will be forgiven, yeah

(That's how much I feel) feel for you, baby
(How much I need) I need your touch
(How much I live) I live for your loving
(That's how much) that's how much
That's how much, that's how much

So you try (try), try to stay in the middle
And then you cry (cry), well you cry just a little
Then you both realize
Just how foolish you've been
And you try to make amends
But you're better off as friends
'Cause that's how much (that's how much)
That's how much, that's how much

How's your life been goin' on?
I've got a wife now, years we've been goin' strong
Oh, no, there's just something that I've got to say
Sometimes when we make love
I still can see your face
Ooh, just try to recall
When we were as one, yeah

(That's how much I feel) feel for you, baby
(How much I need) I need your touch
(How much I live) I live for your loving
That's how much

General CommentMan, I'm such a cheeseball. This song gets me every time. Clearly it's about a guy loving someone so much, but they are unable to make it work. So, he gives them up and goes on with his life, but he never stops loving them. Heartbreaking.

I think some of the lyrics here are incorrect though. In the second verse, I'm thinking it should be "Give it all and then I'd give some more / If you would only love me like you had before". Then in the bridge it should be "Then you both realize just how foolish you've been / And you try to make amends". Then, I'm not sure. I don't think "But you're pulling all the strings" is right. Doesn't sound like that to me and doesn't really fit. I've seen on other sites that it's "But you're better off as friends." But I always thought it was something like, "But you crumble under the stress." Who knows? It's still a great song.

My Opinion"Sometimes when we make love I still see your face"

Sorry, that is totally creepy...... If his wife knew this she would turn Lorena Bobbitt on him.

General CommentWell, I've never liked this song, well, it's meaning. I mean yeah in part it's sweet...he had to move on but he still cares. But just think if your this guy's wife. "Sometimes when we make love I still can see your face". I don't want to think my husband is imagining another woman while we are making love.

General CommentThis song is great! One of my favorites of all time believe it or not! The part about him still envisioning her face while making love to his wife is very eerie. I love it because that's truly how people are, whether we admit it or not. We all have secrets and pasts. They all affect who we are today, whether it be an experience or a past relationship. We all have past lovers, that I'm sure we all think about from time to time. His love for this other woman was immeasurable, but it couldn't work. Eventhough he's moved on, she still affects him everyday. It's Beautiful. A real emphasis on how we all have these past lives that are forever with us in our minds.

General Comment2nd verse is wrong: it says " I'd give it all and then I'd give some more, if you would only love me like you had before" great line

    General Commentmore corrections:

"take hold of my hand and all will be forgiven" meaning he will forgive her.

during the bridge: "then YOU both realize just how foolish YOU'VE been (both of them are foolish)
and you try to make AMENDS, BUT YOU'RE BETTER OFF AS FRIENDS"

THIS SHIT'S POETRY, IT NEEDS TO BE CORRECT

General CommentThe lyrics to this song are really sad. Its too bad, the chorus could be part of a very warming love song.

    Here's my take:
The guy obviously had no choice whether or not he was leaving the relationship. The girl he loved made that choice for him, whether he was "untrue" or not. That's the way it goes sometimes, and its hard to accept. His attempts to reconcile were futile, and now he is left with a burning memory. While the last verses of the song are somewhat disturbing, you really can't blame him.. splitting up with the one he loved wasn't his choice.

General CommentThe emotions and actions that are described in this song are very real, even if some of them aren't pretty or perfect. There is a madness to it when you love someone deeply.

That's my favorite part it made me think of my relationship.
