"Handy-Man" as written by Karin Elizabeth Dreijer Andersson and Olof Bjorn Dreijer....
When I saw you
I thought that you were the one
Looking good, I assumed you were handy
You introduced yourself as handy

I thought you were the handy-man
I laid my love in your hands
Andy my man
I thought you were the handy-man

Then something went wrong
And the feeling was so gone
Slipped the hammer on your thumb
And the saw got caught in your thong

I thought you were the handy-man
I laid my love in your hands
Andy my man
I thought you were the handy-man

Then something went wrong
And the feeling was so gone
Slipped the hammer on your thumb
And the saw got caught in your thong

I thought you were the handy-man
I laid my love in your hands
Andy my man
I thought you were the handy-man

I thought you were the handy-man
I laid my love in your hands
Andy my man
I thought you were the handy-man

Handy-man
Handy-man
Handy-man
I thought you were the handy-man

Handy-man
Handy-man
Handy-man
I thought you were the handy-man

General CommentMy friend thinks it's about a male stripper. Makes sense. Guys dress up play the role and wear thongs. Super work.

General CommentI really thought it was about homosexual lovers, variety people. Variety, oh and the male stripper idea is good also.

General CommentHaha...I always thought this song was about desiring a "handy-man", as someone who would come in and fix your problems (the way some people long for others: "they will fix me", "they will fix this for me")

However, male stripper makes perfect sense
if we want to take "I laid my love in your hands"

It's hard to tell wtf is up with the gender politics, considering that all the vocals are done by Karin, the female member of the band, and she is just emulating the voice of a man through effects.

General CommentIt's an easy one, this is just The Knife's 'gay disco anthem' song. Why not?! :-)
