Now that I’ve finally got you home
I don’t know what I’m doin’ here
Now that we find ourselves alone
I got an urge to disappear
And maybe that’s shyness
Maybe that’s why I’m not myself

You’ve ruined all my favourite songs
‘Coz every one reminds me
Of another time when you and I belonged

How we got started I can’t tell
I woke up, you were livin’ here
Under my heart you worked your spell
Some long-lashed Guinnevere
And we were excited
We were on fire before we fell

You’ve ruined all my favourite songs
‘Coz every one reminds me
Of another time when you and I belonged
You’ve ruined all my favourite songs
You’ve ruined all my favourite songs

You’ve ruined all my favourite songs
‘Coz everything reminds me
Of my favourite thing denied me
Of you lyin’ right here beside me

Haven’t been hidin’ on my own
I don’t want your sympathy
And whether ewe slide or leave alone
It don’t mean nothing to me
But we were excited
We catch fire and then we melt
Everyone reminds me
Everyone reminds me
Everyone reminds me
Everybody reminds me of you

This song is whats happened to me sort of, you get into a song whehn you're with a partner then when you break up you cant listen to them anymore because they're all too close to the bone.

"We were on fire before we fell"

    I love that line

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.
