Never knew where to go
Never used to go to bed at night
Thinking but I didn't know
Never could seem to get it right
But I've made up my mind
Yeah I've made up my mind

I wanna feel important
I wanna feel alive
Don't talk to me
Don't talk to you
You know I'm lying
You know the truth

Yeah, I'm on a Mission From God
It sounds kinda crazy but I like it a lot
I'm an answer to the man up above
It's me he's speaking of
Yeah, so I'm just a fortunate son?
Everybody wants to be the chosen one
I'm on a mission
I'm on a mission from God

I went to Pensacola just to get an opinion
A perfect California get it straight in my mind
Take a new road, take a new direction
Maybe going to get it right
But I've made up my mind
Yeah I've made up my mind
I wanna feel important
I wanna feel alive

Don't talk to me
Don't talk to you
You know I’m lying
You know the truth

Yeah, I'm on a mission from God
It sounds kinda crazy but I like it a lot
I'm an answer to the man up above
It's me he's speaking of
Yeah, so I'm just a fortunate son?
Everybody wants to be the chosen one
I'm on a mission
I'm on a mission from God

If I could save the world
I might do it
I just might do it
Now it’s up to me
So are you worth it?
Are you really worth it?
If I can save the world

Yeah I'm on a Mission From God
Sounds kinda crazy but I like it a lot
I'm an answer to the man up above
It's me he's speaking of
On a mission, on a mission, on a mission, a mission, a mission, mission, mission, mission
Yeah I'm on a mission

General CommentSo, a long lost song by The Offspring made public. No idea why it was long lost, since it is incredibly awesome. I'm sure you can find it on some fansites. I'm not sure if you can get it in the stores.

Anywho, it's probably about a guy who has no idea what to do with his life, until he got some sort of sign. But he takes it too far and thinks he's on some divine mission to change the world. Something he can never achieve.

Try finding this song, fans! It's incredibly worth it!

General Commenteuan_soad, word. That song kicks, but there are some other cool songs on it, like that song by Some Girls and Black Cloud by Converge, and Rancid and NOFX. But I really like All My Friends Are Dead, somethnig weird though, I live in Australia but I bought my copy of Punk-O-Rama 10 in Italy when I went there last year and all the other copies of it don't have that song on it, and there are also several other different songs on my copy, weird

General CommentAs far as the meaning goes, I read somewhere that it's about a crazy whacked out guy who thinks he can save the world. It also seems to be an attack on the missionaries who think that their way of life is the best way, and are on a "mission from god" to show other people that view.

I love the Blues Brothers reference though..

General Comment(From an interview about splinter)
[D]: It was a song called ‘Mission From God‘.

[WD]: But you never did anything with that?

[D]: We just didn‘t think it was as good as the other songs and it was kinda‘ like a Blue‘s Brothers reference. We weren‘t seriously religious and so we were debating in the band that it might come across as a religious song. It wasn‘t, though. It was the farthest thing from it. Like in the vain of a ‘Bad Habit‘. The guy in the song is kooky and whacked out. I should re-write that about the Washington sniper now, huh? So that one was left off and we never did anything with it.

General CommentMy friend who gave me a lot of their music and got me into them told me this was about a suicide bomber, I dont think that's true, but it fits incredibly well.
