"Beat Me" as written by George Tutuska, Robbie Takac and John Rzeznik....
Beat me, Jenny,
Beat me slowly, now
Beat me, Jenny,
Don't you know, I said
Beat me, Jenny,
Beat me slowly, now
Beat me, Jenny,
Don't you know
I didn't love you
All of the time
But now you left me
And it's a crime

Shanamama, I ain't beaten now
Shanamama, don't you know, I said
Shanamama, I ain't beaten now
Shanamama, don't you know

Beat me, Jenny,
Beat me slowly, now
Beat me, Jenny,
Don't you know, I said
Beat me, Jenny,
Beat me slowly, now
Beat me, Jenny, don't you know

I could've loved you
I didn't try
You made me happy
Oh, I've gotta fly.

General CommentSounds like a relationship in which the singer isn't in love but just enjoying, while the other partie is and he understands she's mad about this and let's her cool her anger (gently though...)
    "I didn't love you
    A million times
    But now you love me
    And it's a crime"
Still, though he didn't loved her (he didn't try even) she made him happy and probably still does...
