"Bound To Happen" as written by and Nicholas Edward/beck Thomas....
I used to know you like the back of my hand
Until today you held your place
Now you're shifting like the sand
Your chest would heave with pride if I were spoken of
'Till tonight I never knew the difference between comfort and love

Although you're sleeping right next to me
Well, it feels like you are wide awake in a distant dream
Leading a life that is finally free
Of these endless nights and countless fights that turn us into
Who we hate to be

This is so difficult for the both of us
I know we tried so hard, there's just no hope for us
Well it's more than a shame that we lost to this game
All my walking, talking, sleeping, breathing -
Nothing will ever be the same

I used to hold you like it's all that I had
Now begins the falling out, we are like a passing fad
Your mouth would crack a smile if I were spoken of
'Till tonight you never thought
You'd lose this epic battle with love

Although you're sleeping right next to me
Well, it feels like you are wide awake in a distant dream
Leading a life that is finally free
Of these endless nights and countless fights that turn us into
Who we hate to be

And this is so difficult for the both of us
I know we tried so hard, there's just no hope for us
Well it's more than a shame that we lost to this game
All my walking, talking, sleeping, breathing -
Nothing will ever be the same

For what it's worth, I've always admired you
I always thought that we could make it through
Now look what time can do
It took our masterpiece we built and broke it in two
I always believed in you
I always loved you

And this is so difficult for the both of us
I know we tried so hard, there's just no hope for us
Well it's more than a shame that we lost to this game
All my walking, talking, sleeping, breathing -
Nothing will ever be the same

General CommentJaaaymi - that isnt missing, its part of another song 'your evil soul'
    =]

i think that anyone trying to write a good breakup song should just quit now, because the most emotional one ive ever heard is bound to happen.

it just amazes me how one song can hold so much emotion.

General Commentone amazing break-up song. Nick is basically talking about all the great things they had going in the begginning of the relationship, but as time passed - the love they had began to fall apart.

The entire song is amazing, but I felt it really came through in the 2nd to last verse ("For what its worth...I always loved you") is simply amazing. Its Nick reflecting and telling "her" his deepest feelings. I think the his soft tone really emphasizes the extent of his feelings. Then the chorus hits....BRILLIANT!!! (gave me the chills!!!)

General CommentI think there is a part missing from the song...

"I know you never meant to do, everything you put me through, its okay i forgive you. just know that when you see me cringe sometimes, I'm trying to rid the poison from my mind."

General Comment"'Till tonight I never knew the difference between comfort and love"

I think the guy realized he wasn't actually in love with her. He felt comfortable in a relationship with her, like that he could tell her things and wasn't afraid to be affectionate and all that. However, when they broke up, he realized he didn't actually love her...he just wasn't afraid to be with her. There is a difference between being comfortable with someone and being in love.

General CommentThis song is incredible. it holds such a personal meaning to me. EVERY word screams at me. It's uncanny how he feels exactly the same way i do. It's so sad.

General Commentawwww so freaky!! this song is exactly what i'm goin through right now...clearly it's a break up song and for a good part of the relationship things were goin well and they were the "perfect" couple but then things just starting disintingrating. Like when he says
"Although you're sleeping right next to me
Well, it feels like you are wide awake in a distant dream"
and then he is just kinda saying things weren't working out and how they are both sad about that and she really did change his life forever.

but im confused on the part where he says,
"Your chest would heave with pride if I were spoken of
'Till tonight I never knew the difference between comfort and love"
so is he saying that he wasn't in love? cuz then later he says,

"It took our masterpiece we built and broke it in two
    I always believed in you
    I always loved you"

so is he just contradicting himself or did he realize that he really did love her?

I absolutly love tsc. Prolly my favorite band at the moment. this is definitly one of their best songs!
