"Dark" as written by and Simon Wilcox....
You'll be the first flight out of Dallas
You leave but never get away
From the color you swear that your life takes in this town
Because scenery is just a shade

You live in regret
It hurts to know how much you'll miss

I want to make it feel alright
Hold you through the dark tonight

So what if now is all you have
Live as if you never knew
What it was to lose
Honestly have you ever been honest with yourself
Or are you someone else's point of view

You live in regret
It hurts to know how much you'll miss
It's what you expect
That leaves you such a mess

One day you'll learn
No place will make you happier

Are you someone else's point of view
Are you someone else's point of view

General CommentI love this song by Terminal. For some odd reason it makes me think of this guy I like a lot...well used to until he moved away. I don't know I think he regrets leaving here. This song makes me sad but I still love it none the less and listen to it constantly.

General CommentIt's about his lover, she's running away from him, but she'll never get away from his heart. She leaves town, and regrets it deep down, knowing that she misses him. "no place will make you happier" I think is referring to in his arms, because he is talking about holding her. The term, 'alright' just overwelms me, because its so simple yet he wants her to be fine because he loves her. It makes me think of every boy I've ever loved.

General CommentI haven't gone a day without listening to this band since I heard 'Dark' in the beginning of October 2006. Epilohunk pretty much explained it. She ran away from him, and now both are regretting it, but shes making excuses on why it happened and creating false pretenses from other people. This song will forever be dedicated to explain my life. I cannot even gather into words what this song means to me or how I feel when I hear it.

General CommentMy best friend just went to college; I'm a high-school senior. He's trying to convince me to go to the school he's at now. He's honestly the best person my age I've ever met, and I'm so happy whenever I'm with him. It comes down to whether I pick an academically better school (or at least a school with a better reputation) over the first person to change my life fundamentally. He's said things things like, "One day you'll learn/ no place will make you happier" than where the people you love are (not verbatim, of course). The thing is that I wonder if I'm still "someone else's point of view," because everyone I talk to says it's awful to follow people to college and that, if a "better" school will have me, I should go there, and I think I believe them. So I "live in regret / it hurts to know how much [I]'ll miss." I'm already regretting not going with him before I've even made that call. It hurts to know that I may lose the best friendship I've ever had because we won't be together - and it all comes down to what I choose.
