"The Deepest Blues Are Black" as written by David Eric Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Christopher A. Shiflett and Nate Mendel....
Shame on you
Seducing everyone
Faded you
Your diamond in the rough

You don't have to tell me
I know where you've been
Shinning once again

Will you do
The thing you've always done
Tell me true
I think you know the one

One that makes me blurry
Colors start to run

Every time I wonder
I go under

The deeper the blues
The more I see black
Sweeter the brew the feeling starts coming back
All the deepest blues are black

General CommentIn this song you can REALLY see the classic rock influence that kinda' echoes throughout the electric disc. It's so rockin'... a classic kinda' rock song.

you can almost sing "We are the Champions" over the chorus.

    General CommentCocaine.

Your diamond in the rough. It's a drug that people are seduced by, and it's hated by people who don't do it.

    How my mind is spinning
And my head is going numb
Gummy some cocaine, and your mouth will go numb. Snort it, your nose will. The effects can make your head spin and fuck you up.

    When it comes closing in
    Reject
It's just telling you to say no if it comes along. Meh.

General CommentLyrics seem like it's a guy who got all filled up with rage and beat the hell out of his wife because he assumed that she was cheating on him.

That would probably be the thing she's always done which makes him "blurry".

The song is about the bruises on her body (bruises are blue) that he inflicts, and how the harder he hits her, the more he realizes it is he who is doing wrong (seeing black, the dark side of things).

    Just my humble opinion.
