"Strangeland" as written by and Billie Joe/pritchard Armstrong....
Looking at the clouds in the sky
Floating image in my mind
Land of beauty and land of peace
Now I wonder where this place is from

The evidence is everywhere
I start to run, now I'm scared
Strange beings all around
Come everyone to this place I've found

I'm feeling psyched to be walking
I wonder why
All my joys could be open
No more cries

My eyes are clear and now I'm cured
Don't you wanna be for sure?
I know my rights I'm allowed to die
So I'd rather swap your different guise

It's in my head if you will find
Mother love from all mankind
You look above and then you shout
No other way to say your head is alright

Feeling psyched to be walking
I wonder why
All my joys could be open
No more cries

I'm feeling psyched to be walking
I wonder why
All my joys could be open
No more cries

General CommentI think of this song as being about the feeling of being high. But then i woudn't actually know haha. It sounds to me as Billie feels like he's escaping to another world or something when he's high, and he likes that place. I like this song because it sounds kinda weird, haha

General Commenti figured that the song alluded to the novel Stranger in a Strange Land, which would only be fitting, seeing as how GD also recorded "Who Wrote Holden Caulfield" about Catcher in the Rye.

General CommentI can't believe I've never heard of this song... darn them for not stocking up on older Green Day stuff...
I can easily say this sounds like someone who's very ecstatic about something. Probably done something bad to reach there. Bah, need to listen to it first!

General Commentthere are no other green day lyrics like the ones in this song, love of all man kind and all that jazz. for some reason i think this is about doing acid and having your mind open up, and plus theres a few acid references here and there in kerplunk. so yeah i'm thinking its about finding peace... while on acid.
