It's in the atmosphere we breathe tonight
It's in the people that we meet
And in your eyes
Just like every other fool out there
We all think we're so unique
Such special freaks

It's in every single one of us
Every single one of us
Looking for a second chance
Hoping for a second shot
Every single one of us
Every single one of us

I see the world like through a looking glass
I see the people walk right by
By by
Like paper tigers roaming in the street
They stare right through me when we meet

It's in every single one of us
Every single one of us
Looking for a second cause
Hoping for a second shot
Every single one of us
Every single one of us

This song is all about Hope.

We are all Paper Tigers, despite strong outward appearances we are all in fact fragile on the inside, but we all have hope for something better.

    I basically agree with SavageMadrox.

It's good to see people commenting on Caesars songs because they're good, rather than just because they were featured on an iPod advertisement.

ThomYorkeGuyGarvey92, I agree. But if it weren't for the iPod commercial, I never would have heard of Caesars. It's great when people explore the whole discography though.

This song instantly chills me out. The tune is amazing, and the lyrics speak to me about how everyone feels like freaks inside, we all have our problems and we try not to show them. But we can all connect with other people through our weaknesses and problems.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
