The years have past, they remain searching.
I am forever free of those times.
The mindless anthems you chant for the drones.
Clouded visions wasting away each day.

You've held me down and I won't forget those days.
This who I am and I wouldn't change a thing.

Memories flood back at the site of those faces.
The knives in our backs, the scars never healed.

As our friendships fade, the ones I love grow closer.
With all my regrets, this loss will only strengthen.

This is who I am and I wouldn't change a thing.

This is ours.

This is ours and I will fight for what is ours.

General Comment[Explanation: A lot of people are stuck in a perpetual state of childhood. Not in the innocent/playful childhood, but confined to a petty life where no change is possible. There are a lot of mistakes in our lives, but a lot of fun times too. Learn, play, and remain dynamic. Don't let the past hold you back from enjoying the present. You may grow apart from other people but those people made you who you are and that cannot be removed. Accept it and grow.]
