"Panda" as written by and Silas Utke Graae Joergensen Jonas Bjerre Terkelsboel....

Saw the candy turn to corn
Well, it's like the morning's born
And I'll try to like horses
And I'll try to like horses
Now I'm there, you didn't know
Try to think about the snow
Don't be riding over me
'Cause you are all that I can see
I'll try to like horses
And I'll try to like horses

I'll be glad with Andy Pandy
Feed the horses with your candy
I'm the stray cat on your roof
Clap your hands and lift your hoof
And I'll try to like horses

General CommentI kinda agree with psychocherry there, i think it's about being something you're not.

It makes me think me most about a girl trying to fit in with the fashionable crowd (horses), when she's been an unpopular type (cat) most of her life.
It's like he knows she's not being true to herself or her friends, and she is starting to ignore him, which he doesn't like, then by the end he's happy with himself and cats, and she can go and play nice with the horses like the sellout she is, and he couldn't care less.

This comes from a teenage girl mind, so it probably means something a little more mature than that. ¬_¬

General Commenttry to think that whole song is a metaphor...
then you can get something in this song that makes sense...or not, hahaha.
    "Don't be riding over me
If you are all that I can see"
to me, means: don't pretend, i know who you are, or i think i know, i know what i see.

    General CommentWeird.
I could have sworn that it was "Try to like ourselves" instead of "Try to like horses".
I hate it when I get lyrics wrong because it changes the whole meaning. It made sense to me before the horses part and now I just dont get it at all.
    Plus, i'm terrified of horses.
I think the thing about popularity makes a lot of sense but doesn't the line that says "riding over me" remind you a little of "Wheels Over Me"? Just something to think about I guess.
    This is a beautiful song.

General CommentLiterally NO idea what, if anything, this is about.

General Commentmew is all about precise dreams: to me. it's just a journey of words with beautiful memories for me and a play of lyrics that hits a perfect cord when i listen~but to tell the truth the rhyming must be taken into consideration and the sillables in every line.........all i know is that mew somehow seems to be pretty obsessed with snow....there is a certain calm a suspended in time floating sense in all these lyrics the imagery that one gets listening is priceless

General CommentI think that this song is about pretending and how hard is sometimes to be yourself.

"And I'll try to like horses
    I'll try to like horses."
Reminds of my last class, I was only girl who didn´t like horses, and some girls thought that I was REALLY strange...

General Commenti dont know why but what came to my mind at first was that the character was with a girl that he really liked and they ended up breaking up because of something or another and in their past he never liked horses something the girl loved and so to be with her again he says he'll try to like horses just one of those little things that matter in a relationship, i dont know if im making sense but thats what i got out of it.

    anyways, beautiful song

General Commenti think its mostly about, as it often is with Mew, growing up and changing. Candy to corn, i think thats simbolizing a change in staple diet from that of a childs to an adult. And Jonas, by saying he will try to like horses, is saying he will change and try to move on too. Perhaps.
