"Simplest Mistake" as written by Shaun Welgemoed, Dale Stewart and John Humphrey....
Watch it blow my mind,
Its something I am ill-prepared to remedy
But let it slow the time
It take to dies and close your eyes to your enemy
Defy!

Self-made millionaires won't take ideas
from all the little plebeians
Just suffocate with smiles
And force-fed lies
And close you mind to reality
Deny

It feels like I'm losing again,
When I've lost everything
I'm sure I will see more clearly
Lose what I'm feeling to them
And not feel anything,
I'm sure I will bleed sincerely
Tonight!

Watch it blow my mind,
Its something I am ill-prepared to remedy
But let it slow the time
It take to dies and close your eyes to your enemy
Defy!

It feels like I'm losing again,
When I've lost everything
I'm sure I will see more clearly
Lose what I'm feeling to them
And not feel anything,
I'm sure I will bleed sincerely
Tonight!

So you make the simplest mistake
So you make the simplest mistake
And fearlessly you deny you involvement in my demise
But give me your open hand

It feels like I'm losing again,
When I've lost everything
I'm sure I will see more clearly
Lose what I'm feeling to them
And not feel anything,
I'm sure I will bleed sincerely
Tonight

My InterpretationMusic can be interpretive. My thoughts on this are about a psycopathic control grid. An aristocrat society controlled by the elite ( millionaires) whom have set the chess board in their favor. " the simplest mistake" is being human. " "just suffocate with smiles and force fed lies ( goverment, media, the system) and close your mind to reality- deny." and all this is bought and paid for by the elite to keep us into bondage. All the while telling you its for your best interests.

General CommentWhen everything life throws at you comes barreling down around you, when get get comfortable in a situation and then everything goes wrong by...the simplest mistake, sometimes you are not equipped to handle it yet you press on even though those around you turn their back or your closest friends turn away you still...press on.

General CommentCould be a number of things. Possibly a Marxist look on the world and how the “self made millionaires” or bourgeois, alienate the lower class, plebeians or proletariat, for their own gain regardless of the consequences, thus driving them to a madness of sorts. Or of course I could be entirely off. Perhaps just an emotional outburst only Shaun will know the true meaning of.

General CommentThis is clearly an angry song, by "self made millionairs" I think he is referring to amy lee, or big producers, who are to up themselves to listen to the ideas or advice of others. Shaun feels the world is out to get him, against him. In verse 3 he sing about drugs/alcohol/other such substances. I can relate to this song

General Commenti just exploded my eardrums.
there's only one volume you can play this album. FUCKING hell it's awesome

this is one of the more original songs on this album i guess because of how syncopated and different the drum line is (except for the outro). what a magical composition, so full of FUCKING RAGE AAAARGH, but still so full of colourful melodies and all sorts of interesting, contrasting musical elements
