You're captivating while evading
All the questions I have for you like,
"What exactly makes you tick?"
When the guilt sets in tell me
What exactly are we going to do?

Your tongue is wet with a top secret passion
I hope I am the cause of it
I'll navigate this unsturdy vessel filled with a soft sea pillows and blankets

And I fight the urge to explore
The vastness of your curse I adore
You know I, I hate you
No, I hate you more
You know I, I love you
No, I love you more

Yes, it's true
You've brainwashed me and now I'm more confused
I still somehow hope I end up with you
Yes, it's true
I romanticize every single thing I do
Especially when it comes to you

I've sunken in the quicksands of love
And I don't want you to rescue me
Screw what my supposed friends think
It's obvious they reek of jealousy
It's obvious they reek of jealousy

And I fight the urge to explore
The vastness of your curse I adore
You know I, I hate you
No, I hate you more
You know I, I love you
No, I love you more

Yes, it's true
You've brainwashed me and now I'm more confused
I still somehow hope I end up with you
Yes, it's true
I romanticize every single thing I do
Especially when it comes to you

I hope to God I mean a little more then the sounds that escape your tired 4 A.M. lips
And oh-how I wish I meant a little more then a symphony of heavy breathing and the friction of hips

Yes, it's true
You've brainwashed me and now I'm more confused
I still somehow hope I end up with you
Yes, it's true
I romanticize every single thing I do
Especially when it comes to you

Well, I interpret this different than a romantic song or a song completely about sex. CAPS = what I think.

You’re captivating while evading all the questions I have for you like, "what exactly makes you tick?" HE'S MYSTIFIED BY HER, SHE'S INTRIGUING (sp..) YET SHE'S AN ILLUSION, OR SHE DOESN'T SHOW MUCH OF HER FEELINGS SO HE DOESN'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT HER THOUGH HE WANTS TO.

When the guilt sets in tell me what exactly are we going to do? --THEY'RE MESSING AROUND &KNOW THEY SHOULDN'T BE FOR SOME REASON.

Your tongue is wet with a top secret passion --AGAIN.."TOP SECRET" THEY SHOULDN'T BE DOING WHATEVER.

I hope I am the cause of it I'll navigate this unsturdy vessel filled with a soft sea pillows and blankets --HE WANTS HER TO WANT HIM, HE'S UNSURE OF WHAT THEY'RE DOING BECAUSE IT'S "WRONG", BUT THEY'RE STILL GOING TO BED &HOPING THAT FIXES IT POSSIBLY?

The part about fighting the urge to explore her body, which he thinks is wonderful obviously, and him saying "i hate you" "no i love you more" I think it may be them talking, or him wrestling with his thoughts &doesn't know if he's in love with her or he hates her for what is happening.

You've brainwashed me and now I'm more confused --SHE'S MADE HIM WANT HER EVEN THOUGH SHE'S PROBABLY PLAYING GAMES &HE'S AGAIN, NOT SURE IF IT'S RIGHT

I still somehow hope I end up with you I romanticize every single thing I do especially when it comes to you --HE STILL WANTS HER, THOUGH IT'S A LOVE/HATE RELATIONSHIP. HE IMAGINES THINGS, DREAMS ABOUT HER OFTEN..HYPES IT UP.

The bit of how he hopes he means more to her than sex, well I believe it's obvious.

SO IF YOU DIDN'T WANT TO READ THIS LONGGGG COMMENT, THEN SKIP TO HEREEE ::

To sum it up I think it's about him &a girl and the girl is fun and a mystery to him, he daydreams and fantasizes things about her and the relationship &wants to have sex with her, but in the end isn't sure if it's right (for a reason i don't know) or not..maybe the reason is because he doesn't know if she loves him or not.

Well Eros is the Greek God of love, sexual desire, and fertility; also known as Cupid by other beliefs. Himerus, the god of lust, is an accompiament to Eros.

I believe that "Himerus and Eros" stand sfor "Lust and Love." The man singing is in lust with a girl (possibly guy because Himerus and Eros are both men) and he loves her/him as well. He is enchanted by her/him and wants her/him in every way, but he is afraid s/he only has lust for him. He wants to hate her/him, to be sure his heart won't be broken if it isn't real, but he cannot help but love them.

It isn't "The vastness of your curves I adore" not "The vastness of your curses I adore"

Uhm...I love this song. Truly. It's just all yummy.

Despite the fact that I am a girl, I relate to this song to an incredible degree. You keep TRYING to find out more about the other person, you keep TRYING to ask questions, only to get avoided. And no matter how hard you try to not like someone, they do seem to brainwash you, and you're stuck in this perpetual cycle of confusion, what with liking them so much and not wanting to ruin the little relationship and closeness you have, to being so frustrated with them for not wanting the same things you do. you end up romanticizing everything, in hopes that maybe you can construe their actions into more than lust, but in the end, you know it's nothing more than a hookup to them. a convenience.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
