"Just A Taste" as written by Brian Mcternan, Pouyan Sean Afkary, Peter Allen Costa, Chad Lane Crawford, Steven Christopher Kirby, Tyson Curtis Stevens and David John Wilson....
Forgive and forget
It's just a memory
It won't get me very far this time
Is what I've done to you unforgivable?
Silence fills the room and I get the message.
Emptiness is all that's left this time.
Is what I meant to you that forgettable?

Better than Better than me of coarse.
You're always right.
You're always on the ball.
Better than Better than everything
I've done for you cause now you can finally sleep.
Can you smile too?

I took it as a threat
You meant it as the doctrine
Of everything that was and would become.
I don't have to ask, you don't miss me at all.
You made it so obvious
When you slowly walked away
And then I prayed in vain.
I would've traded everything
even for just a taste.
I'll live with the loneliness.
but I'll never forget
I was never your best bet.

Better than Better than me of coarse.
You're always right.
You're always on the ball
Better than Better than everything
I've done for you
Cause now you can finally sleep.
Can you smile too?
Now you can sleep, can you smile too?
Can you smile now that I'm gone?

reminds me of a guy I know...*sighs*...this song to me is obviously about longing...Im guessing the person in question didnt know the extent of the dude's feelings...or dudette in my case.

General Commentthis song is amazing i think this song is about a guy or girl that really loved some one and either lost them or never had the chance to be with them and they would give up everything to be with them

General CommentYeh I agree, as_i_walk_away. They would give up everything just to spend a little time with them - very emo, I like it.

General Commentthis song to me means about a friendship that has ended because of his actions. I totally relate because a friendship of mine was destroyed because of a stupid mistake. I love this song

General CommentTo me it could be a song about love or friendship! When I first gave this song a listening I realized it was what I was going through. It's kinda like someone did something that the other person thinks was so bad but they can't just come out and talk about it. So they just turn away and leave and there's a lost friendship. Everytime i listen to this song I cry but I'm still in love with it! one of my favorites!

General Commenti think its about someone who screwed up (the singer) and the person they are singing about wont forgive them and will be happier leaving the screw up behind, but the screw up just wants another chance.

kind of reminds me where im at with my ex girlfriend who cheated on me and i still won't forgive her but she keeps trying to be friends.

General Comment"Emptiness is all that's left this time,
Is what I meant to you that forgettable?"

She's moved on and there is no real connection between them any more, the friendship as well as the relationship had died leaving him with nothing.

Understandably he feels crap about being forgotten so easily "Is what I meant to you that forgettable?"

This band are great, i find their words at best touching and honest, at worst funny due to stereotype emoness "INSIDE I'M BLACK AND I'M HOLLOW" haha i love that
