"Bitemarks and Bloodstains(Album Version)" as written by Marc Edwin Allen, Nathan Barcalow, Derek Doherty, Alejandro M. Linares and Randy Strohmeyer....
My or may we be this way forever?
Tell me lover what will become of the other?
Bones, skin, nails, and flesh…
A bed of lack of passion, A medieval consequence.
Then where were you with all the talk about your not their kind?

Now I am stealing her body and taking it home.
There is always one more fault.

Never trusted, you must trust me darling,
Subsequentially you see you deserve more than me.
They bury you while wearing garments of funeral fire.

Now I am stealing her body and taking it home.
There is always one more fault.

Now I am stealing her body and taking it home.
There is always one more fault.

This will hurt you, it's killing me
This will hurt you, it's killing me
This will hurt you, it's killing me
This will hurt you, and I will to,
And I will…

(Bloodlust, Bloodlust) for this girl,
(Bloodlust, Bloodloss) for this boy,
(Bloodlust, Bloodlust) for this girl,
(Bloodlust, Bloodloss) for this boy, this boy!

But now I punch a wound and once again forgive my sin.

This is forever.

General CommentI think this songs about rape....(lol hear me out on this)

Now I am stealing her body and taking it home.
There is always one more fault.

Stealing her body could be, stealing her innocence and stuff like that.

It hurts you but its killing me...

Many people who rape people in some part of there head dont want to.

Im prolly 100% off but thats what i think.

General CommentYES. I've heard it a trillion times and I feel its about Rape also. But maybe with a twist? Like a couple who have been together for a looong time and are in love. when suddenly the girl suggests committment, and and the guy loses it b/c all he wants is sex. so he gets out of hand and rapes the girl to get what he wants.

Meier (maybe a fictitious name to use)
may we be this way forever? (girl suggesting marriage, or exclusivity)
And tell me lover what will become of the others? (girl questioning his past relationships or the "other" girls in the world that aren't her)
Bones, skin, nails, and flesh… (the guy taking advantage of the girl's clinginess, and the nakedness of it all. are those even words? i dunno...)
On a bed of lack of passion (a bed with a man and woman in it, but no passion between them...rape!), A medieval consequence (the consequence of leading a man on in medieval times. hint: a crime that went unpunished many centuries ago...)
They worry you with all the talk about your not their kind (the girl saying that the guys friends bug him about not being single, or perhaps 'whipped' in a relationship while they screw around with other girls)

Now I am stealing her body and taking it home. (stealing her innocence for himself)
There is always one more fall.
(perhaps the guy's justification for doing it, like "what are you gonna do, break up with me? you love me")

Maladjusted, you must trust me darling, (for psychologists maladjusted means emotionally unstable and cant cope with personal relationships, and the "trust" may be the guy's desire for the girl to like it)

This will hurt you, it’s killing me... (rape hurts, but the guy may think he feels worse if he starts to feel guilty)
Bloodlust, for this girl (the ravenous nature he is exerting toward the girl)
Bloodloss, for this boy (this may be graphic to suggest, but if she bleeds while its happening?? ehh...a longshot...)

But now I punch a wound and once again forgive my sin. (again with the guilt factor. the wound may be a self-inflicted cut or something else an emotionally unstable person does to themself. asking forgiveness from God)

    This is forever.

This is forever (that kind of emotionally scarring lasts a person's life. no doubt about it)

General CommentI don't know about this album...the last one was pretty good, but there are now people ^^^ listening to finch that listen to modern rock bs like trapt and linkin park. This scares me and makes me not want to buy this cd. Also in the new song...all that impressed me were the guitar parts, not the vocals, not the drumming...i'm scared about this album !

    Linkin Park blows !

General CommentI hear you guys. I downloaded an advanced copy of this album (don't worry, already have it pre-ordered) and when I first listened to it, I didn't know what to think. Like many people, I wanted and expected What it is to Burn Pt. 2. When they scrapped this album the first time and got a different producer, everyone was talking. Everyone was saying how much harder this album was going to be, and to be honest, it is.

But I think it's okay. I like it, a lot. Sometimes fans have a problem when a band evolves. I didn't like this stuff at first, but then I realized that it's not like Finch is abandoning their roots. I went to their show a couple nights ago and it was good to see that they still play their old stuff. They're just trying something different. You know how Project Mayhem sticks out like a sore thumb on WIITB? Well, that's because they were experimenting with that sound. Just think of this as a whole album of experimentation. Give it a shot, and you'll see you have nothing to fear.

General Commentyeah i was pretty amazed when i heard this album the first time, it was not what i expected but after a couple of listens i found out that this being not what finch fans expected was a Good thing, it would be a failure as a musician to realse an album with the same sound as the last one, if you dont like this right away give it a couple of listens and you will, finch has matured a lot,

General Commentandrew is absolutely right, the first time you listen to this album you don't hear what you were expecting, but the more you listen to it the better it gets. This album isn't for Finch's more emo fans of the last album. Sunshine is defanately more metal and hard. I personally like it alot.
