It’s all dark,
The streets are empty,
Take me home,
Here radio friendly.
Keep me out,
Take me under,
The water bridge,
Like when we were younger.

Here again,
I get nervous,
Think of leaving,
To know the ending.
There you are,
That’s my doubt,
You’re electric,
I’m a powerout.

Don’t know who I am,
But I’ll be with you,
Alive

Don’t know who I am,
But I’ll be with you,
Alive

I don’t want to go,
There’s nothing but rumour,
About what I might have never been.
You don’t have to come,
See that if I,
You can stay,
Leave it behind.
Leave it behind.
Leave it behind.

Don’t know who I am,
But I’ll be with you,
Alive

Don’t know who I am,
But I’ll be with you,
Alive

You don’t have to give,
It’s nothing to me.
Cross your arms,
keep everything.
There’s another side to this sad story.
Fuck you Hollywood,
I’m the glory,
I’m the glory,
I’m the glory.
Yes, the one
I'm the glorious one.

Don’t know who I am,
But I’ll be with you,
Alive

Don’t know who I am,
But I’ll be with you,
Alive

Don’t know who you are,
Or where you are,
Beside me.

Don’t know who you are,
Or where you are,
Beside me.

I guess I'm the only one who finds this song incredibly moving... I don't know what it's about but it pops into my head at certain moments, when I'm utterly overwhelmed by emotion and I don't know how to describe it. It's the soundtrack for late summer nights with people you care about, but you know you might lose touch with.

It's like being with someone and devoted to that person. You feel like that person is the person that's meant to be there for you, but you can't help but have your doubts and feel like that person might not always be there.

the lyrics are somewhat wrong but anyway...Ive been dating my boyfriend for a while, and sometimes my feelings for him become so overwhelming I get depressed thinking that this wont last forever..I believe amy millan is writing about those feelings, wanting it to last but knowing it cant

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
