The first time I saw him in a movie
Was in black and white on my colour TV
He was a big star in a football game
When shit hits the fans now we'll know who to blame

He's out of time and old
For him we must pray
For if he should die, in comes the big CIA

Er ist nicht mein Praesident
Ich bin aus Amerika
Er ist nicht mein Praesident
Ich bin aus Amerika

At the convention he show his hand
He plays a small part just to act in command
I looked in his eyes, looked right past his face
A contest means money but a race means a race

He's honest and he means well so now we must pay
For if he should die, in comes the big CIA

Er ist nicht mein Praesident
Ich bin aus Amerika
Er ist nicht mein Praesident
Ich bin aus Amerika

He promised the world to be president
He could feed our poor ones with what he has spent
To those who’re not lazy, jobs he will bring
But poverty and wealth they to him are the same

He’s wise beyond my years
Make time what you say
For if he should die
In comes the Bush CIA

Er ist nicht mein Praesident
Ich bin aus Amerika
Er ist nicht mein Praesident
Ich bin aus Amerika

General CommentI love this song, Mitch's unique speech rhythm and pronunciation give it such an ironic connotation.

And he was right with the last refrain, "For if he should die/In comes the Bush CIA".
