Give me your hand, I'll show you where we stand.
Cause you're always asking, when we'll reach the promise land.
Listen girl, I don't make promises to anyone.
Just always know your wish is my command.

So cut the rope, let's give them another chance,
They're not the first ones to fake romance.
Can't you see apologies bleed from their eyes,
but trust is all we need.

Let's go inside,
I've found the perfect place to hide.
And someday we'll never come if we simply say our goodbyes.
And listen boy, I can't,
Live like this another day.
No one's real. No one feels. No one stays.

And all we need is time. Tonight we'll touch the sky.

I think hes saying that he wont promise her anything, he wont gurantee the relationship will last but if she ever needs him, he will be there no questions asked.

The chorus is saying.. They are really honestly sorry and that as long as they mean it and they can be honest, they can give them another chance.

    Just my opinion.

General CommentYeah, yourthestarxo your right (whoa we have very alike screennames lol).

I think in the beginning he's pretty much saying that she doesn't come first, but he does care about her.

"I've found the perfect place to hide, and someday will never come if we simply say our goodbyes."
I think that's saying that they should get out of the relationship before they get attached.

The chorus is brilliant, especially "so cut the ropes lets give them another chance", what an awesome way to say lets start over. The rest I think is just saying, they lied (pretended) and they're sorry, they both need to learn how to trust again.

I love love love love love this song, and the opening line of the chorus. :]
