Push me over the edges
Suffocating the senses
You strip me defenseless, I know you
Images reflected
I’m raped and molested, touched by you
Perception over reality
And what we see is not always what we see
Deeper inside
You’ll find your eyes lie, judge not this time
Distorted dreams in the silence
No vital signs just the violence
Tortured frame in the empty
Scars on my body just ghosts to remind me
I burn
Still reflection disturbs you
Twin perception unnerves you
Slit in two
Beautiful brutality
Self-inflicted these cuts my company
Opposite sides of this coin
Try both sides
I’m yours you’re mine
You scream like a symphony
Wicked trick has left me in agony
Your malfunction is needing
Vertical scars and proof of the bleeding
You burn
Your twin with you
Within the burning
I am your twin
With you within alone

General Commentu kno how people who physically injure themselves often have a eating disorder? this song fits. he sings of reflections and eyes lying.
also ppl find comfort in cutting 'self inflicted these cuts my company'
'alone' these actions are usually kept as secrets
    thats ma interpretation!

General Comment^^^ That's a good interpretation to be honest, I've never really truly thought about what this song means, all i know is that it comes to the most intense crescendo you'll ever hear in Rock Music at the point where Clint sings "Your Twin with you within..."

Incredible... possibly the most intense moment I know of in Rock. Especially when seeing them live.

General Comment"He who fights monsters should see to it that he himself does not become a monster,
for he who stares long into the abyss should know that it stares back at him."
Clint's lyrical motivation for this song.

Musically, the song began with the verse and chorus you here in it today.
Originally, guitar and bass played continuously through the first and second
verse, however, by dropping these two nearly completely out of the vocal sections
in the first verse and just leaving drums and vox it gave this section much
more dynamic and gave the second verse more movement. After trying numerous middle
sections, we decided to run with the existing section which was originally twice
the length, but we agreed to halve it as it the song flowed better with the shorter version.
(the part Flynn sings on out of the second chorus). It was at this point that Clint
decided that he would like to ask Flynn Gower (COG front man) to accompany him on sections of the song.
Originally it was only the " burn " sections out of each of the choruses
that Flynn would sing on, but by the end of the day in the studio, Flynn had laid
vocal sections in the verses, on the burn sections and in the middle section as well.

General Commenti reckon this song is about a person who has been raped, and becomes depressed about it. other people have no idea but. or also it could be about a person with split personailty, skitz or summin.
    awesome lyrics anyway

My OpinionIn my opinion this song is about someone being molested (Duh), but the molester was just repeating what happened to him/her, above all they were both the same. Slowly repeating the pattern in what was happening, becoming the same 'twin', the same 'eyes' within.
