"It's Not Your Fault" as written by and John Ralston....
I don't want to ever wake up
Never ever want to wake up
Want to close my eyes and hide
From my life

You said that it wasn't that sharp
And your accidental remarks
Cut ribbons of me
To fly on parade

I want you to know
That it's not your fault
It's not your fault
It's not your...

You said that it didn't look rough
Man thrown over, bored by bad luck
And it's sleep or swim
Chance is slim, Julia

You said that the rope wouldn't break
Now it looks like a pretty mistake
Crumpled on the floor
You said you were sure

I want you to know
That it's not your fault
It's not your fault
It's not your...

Dear whoever finds this note first
It's not like it's a blessing or curse
It's just life, and it's spinning round
It's just life, and it spins you around
And it's not your fault

General Commentits pretty obvious but, i think its about suicide.

You said that it didn't look rough
Man thrown over, bored by bad luck
    And it's sleep or swim.

    thats one form of suicide

You said that the rope wouldn't break
Now it looks like a pretty mistake
    Crumpled on the floor
    You said you were sure

    hanging

Dear whoever finds this note first
It's not like it's a blessing or curse

My InterpretationWow, I'd never thought of it that way, but it definitely could be interpreted that way easily. Here's how I interpreted it:

The first verse, "I don't ever want to wake up..." I thought of as the person shutting down. Not wanting to deal with the present, he tries to 'hibernate' through the tough times. I've felt like that before, so my judgment could be slightly biased.

"You said that it wasn't that sharp
    And your accidental remarks..."
This is a friend telling him that it's not really so bad, but actually making it worse by their word choice or tone or how they're telling him.

The chorus, "I want you to know that it's not your fault...". He know that his friend feels bad about what's going on, and wants them to know that it's all (or mostly) on him, not his friend. This is his way of making ammends.

"You said that it didn't look rough..." I thought of this as a metaphor. His friend's telling him that it's not so bad, it's not so rough, but he knows how easy it is to slip into bad habits and things he'll regret. At this point, it's 'sink or swim'. He has to make a choice.

--You know what? I think I'm looking too far into this, or trying to make it more positive.
    It's a song about suicide.
