[Ehr rock it]

Je t’aime encore
Means I love you still
C’est pour toujours
Means I always will

Tu me manquais trop
Means I missed you too much
Je fait ce qu’il faut
Means I'll do what I must

Me voici à ta fenêtre baby
Tous tes gens me voient ici
Here I am at your window darling
For all your people to see me

Ananas laisse moi une fois
Laisse moi te voir
Let me one more time, ananas
Ananas, I'm lopin' along hopin' you're home
Open up and let me on in

Maybe I rise and maybe I fall
Maybe you lie underneath it all
I ain't got nothin' but for what you see
Even my own heart don't belong to me

Got your river running in my blood
Got your fire burning in my heart
You got me falling like a shooting star
Just like some tragic work of art

Ananas laisse moi une fois
Laisse moi te voir
Let me one more time, ananas
Ananas, I'm lopin' along hopin' you're home
Open up and let me on in

Here I am at your window baby
For all your people to see
Howling like a dog on the moonlight
Won't you have pity on me

Ananas laisse moi une fois
Laisse moi te voir
Let me one more time, ananas
Ananas, I'm lopin' along hopin' you're home
Open up and let me in, Ananas
Ananas laisse moi une fois
Laisse moi te voir
Let me one more time, ananas
Ananas, I'm lopin' along hopin' you're home
Open up and let me on in

[ Let me in babe
Laisse moi de dont
Talkin' 'bout your ananas
So sweet on the inside,
Rough on the outside.

Walkin' along
Thinkin' 'bout you
Walkin' along
Thinkin' 'bout your ananas
Walkin' along.... ]

General CommentApparently, 'ananas' is French slang for breasts (means 'pineapples' literally). That should make some sense of this song, "Let me see you one more time", "Thinkin' 'bout your ananas"... take from that what you will. ;-)

In all seriousness though, I think he was rejected here by someone he really cared for and was very attracted to. "Even my own heart don't belong to me" he says, which shows he actually cares about more than the superficial, but he's looking for anything, "Howling like a dog on the moonlight" for her to "Laisse moi te voir" (let me see you). It's a song of desperation and loss, and a little bit of the blues. I didn't like it at first, but it's grown on me.

General CommentI don't think it's that crude. From this line :
    "Talkin' 'bout your ananas
    So sweet on the inside,
    Rough on the outside."
and given the content of the rest of the song, he's likening the girl to a pineapple. Soft on the inside but spiky on the outside (a defensive cold exterior), and he wants her to let him in and open up her defensive shell.
