"Comfort in Suffering" as written by and Scott Windsor....
So often I'd stand on my front porch
And I'd watch the car wrecks all night long

It's Christmas Eve, and I've
Had too much to drink
The house is quiet
And neat
And I can't help
But to think

Our tires are spinning
Soaring through the air
I see your face, out of control
So calm, but you're not scared
The song on the radio is perfect
We're floating through the air
But you're not scared

Some cars, they drive by
Way too fast
While others, they play it safe
And I play it safe now

The tires are spinning
Soaring through the air
I see your face, out of control
So calm, but you're not scared
The song on the radio's perfect
You're floating through the air
And you're not scared

General CommentI interpreted the song to be about someone trying to find comfort in situations that are hopeless or at least discouraging.
"the song on the radio's perfect"

The song title says it all really.

    Elaborating on this
The 1st verse seems like they are lamenting.

    "some cars, they drive by
    way too fast
while others, they play it safe
and I play it safe now"

This could be a metaphor to the person taking things for granted only to realise what he has lost.

Or if looked at another way. Two different paths;chose one. Though it may not be what he wants, he feels compelled to do something different.

I love the tune. It's very relaxing. The whole cd has that aura to it. Leaves me wanting more.

General Commenti agree with bryan on this one i think this whole song is a metaphor i think in general this song is talking about a relationship that went downhill.

    "our tires are spinning
soaring through the air"- i think these two lines are metaphore for a them getting into a fight for w.e reason.

"I see your face, out of control
so calm, but you're not scared"- shes either screaming and yelling at him or crying either way she seems to understand the situation and is willing to move on from w.e path they choose.

"the song on the radio is perfect"- meaning the time for the fighting is perfect because things are just at that point

    "we're floating through the air
    but you're not scared"-
they're relationship status is up in the air but shes ok with where ever they go with it

General CommentI agree with charcoal. It sounds like he's talking about a car wreck that killed somebody he loved, and now he can't stop thinking about it.
