"In The Cold" as written by and Vena/cloyd/radovanovic/zwiefelhofer/mcalhaney....
And the words they take their meaning (It's all you said)
And the flame, it loses color (It's all you said)
Take take take a while, take a while (It's all you said)

Knowing that it's far from over
This one belongs to you

Time shows us that all that ever mattered
All that ever mattered leaves us in the cold
If you ever believe this what you need
It will spin around and shatter
Throw you to the floor
As it leaves us in the cold

And the dream you think I'm making
While the house I built is breaking
Take take take a while, take a while (It's all you said)

Knowing that it's far from over
This one belongs to you

Time shows us that all that ever mattered
All that ever mattered leaves us in the cold
If you ever believe this what you need
It will spin around and shatter
Throw you to the floor
As it leaves us in the cold

I remember the train you came in on
Everything I want kept calling
I remember the chill that came over
Everything I love went falling

Time shows us that all that ever mattered
All that ever mattered leaves us in the cold
If you ever believe this what you need
It will spin around and shatter
Throw you to the floor
As it leaves us in the cold

General CommentThis song may seem pessimistic, however, I believe the true meaning is essentially: If you have built up expectations in earthly things (relationships, trusting in people who could lie to you, material things (built up houses) etc) then you will be let down.
Alternatively, if you trust in God, then you will not be left behind or let down.
it boils down to: the superficial vs. truth

General CommentI think this songs main theme is that some things in life that mean so much to you (relationships, a certain person) can go wrong and hence 'leave you in the cold'.

    ^^simply amazing.

It's pretty easy to interpet this song. I think people and society are breaking him down and hold him back from doing what he truly desires...

General Commenthahah yeh i laughed at pessimistical too. i agree with racy although im not sure whether they are even remotely christian? the band name implies that they are but yeh.. sucks that theyre broken up tho, i really liked the sound of "phantoms". one of my fav albums that ive heard for a while.

General CommentThis song is really sad, but a catchy song like all of them. I had the thought that it's about how God is the only constant in a world where everything else can and probably will let you down. The part "while the house I built is breaking" reminds me of that Casting Crowns song that says "I'd take a shack on a rock over a castle in the sand." I don't know if that's a bible verse or anything but it just reminded me that this life will be gone eventually.

General CommentIt does no good to care about anything in the long run cause it's only gonna end up sh-tting on you later.
