"Bleed" as written by and Anna Nalick....
Well it's been almost a year to the moment
When I finally realized it was over
And I knew that love wasn't good enough of a reason
for me to stay
Well I saw you yesterday, you were driving
And I'd tried so hard to forget you were alive
And as you passed by I began to cry
Over things that I did not say

And hiding beneath my blackets and sheets I'm finally free
I'm killing the ghost of you and I'm close to awakening me

So I'm taking my heart and I'm getting me out
And love's something that I wouldn't want to live without
So I'm taking my heart and I'm getting me out on my own

Well it takes all of my strength to be stable
And I force your insults under the table
And if you were wise you would compromise
And allow me to live my way
'Cause I am not a force to be reckoned with
And you don't have a clue what you're messing with
And you can't see to the best in me
'Cause it's more than your heart can take

And hiding beneath my blackets and sheets I'm finally free
I'm killing the ghost of you and I'm close to awakening me

I'm taking my heart and I'm setting it free
And baby now you're just another song to me
And the edge of your sword isn't sharp enough
For me to bleed

General CommentAnna's gonna go far with her music...she's talented in her lyrics...but its obvious she's feeling some bitter feelings from a relationship that was too demanding towards her "Well it takes all of my strength to be stable
And I force your insults under the table" ..and she's now off on her own making it on her own "So I'm taking my heart and I'm getting me out
And love's something that I wouldn't wanna live without
So I'm taking my heart and getting me out on my own"

General Commentshe is definately talented! and her lyrics are accessible and her intelligence is clear. i've heard few songs with words that a lot of people have to look up.

this song is bitter but very energetic. to me it's saying that she has had enough; she possibly broke it off, and now he's mad and he's insulting her. but she's had enough so she's not going to let him pull that kind of crap so she's done caring.

sort of like me and my ex boyfriend. i broke up with him when he became too demanding too much of a burden and sort of manipulative but he had problems so now when i hear from him i ge tupset and worried. but he still insults me and questions my motives. but i still worried. but my friends have made me see that he never cared for me and i need to focus my energy in someone who cares back. and now i've got to make him sort of "just another song to me". and like "it takes all of my strenght to be stable", it takes all of my strenght to ignore his phone calls and not worry and to disregard his anger.

General CommentBasically shes saying she was smootherd and contorlled in her relationship. Shes getting over it and going through the end of relationship insanity. Hey i feel it your world is turned upside down in a heartbeat but as she says she wont be beatdown.

General CommentI interpret it as moving on with life after a harsh breakup, and not letting anything bring you back down. It's about healing and empowering yourself. Amazing song.

General CommentShe was in a relationship with this guy and loved him very much, but he treated her badly. So, she broke it off. (Well, it's been almost a year to the moment when I finally realized it was over and love wasn't good enough of a reason for me to stay).

The guy is bitter about it and insults her as some form of revenge for dumping him. (Force your insults under the table) But, she won't let him get to her. She takes it all in stride and as time goes by, it hurts less and less. Finally, they don't hurt anymore. (And the edge of your sword isn't sharp enough for me to bleed). Overall, it's about getting out of a bad relationship and learning how to move on. It's brilliant.

General Commenti think this song is more about a moment than an entire relationship. Basically, she runs into this guy she used to date who treated her like crap, and seeing him just totally freaks her out because it's been so long since she really thought about everything that happened. To me, it's sort of an angry song-seeing her ex and realizing all the the ways he's screwed her up makes her want to finally fight back, unlike she did in her relationship. Essentially, the song is how she's going to move on from this guy and act like sh'es okay
