Watch it go, watch it go, watch it go
She'll have to cut it away to save her life
And she knows, See she knows
It's like a fatal disease
You'll hear her cry, Oh
Take this
Make it something beautiful again
Make this
Make this heaven cause you're beautiful to them

Got you anyway
I'm gonna say that I've been taken over
Come on lets go again
You tell me when
And I'll be taking over

And you know that I'll never (I will do it again)
Do it again (I'll take it away from you)
And I'll tell you I love you (I'll take it again)
(Just give me the chance, I'll take it again)
(I'll take it away from you)
Say it again

Got you anyway
I'm gonna say that I've been taken over
Come on lets go again
You tell me when
And I'll be taking over

And time stands still
It's at a picture
(I think of every word you say)
And time moves on to the next one
(I think of every word you said)
With every word you said

Got you anyway
I'm gonna say that I've been taken over
Come on lets go again
You tell me when
And I'll be taking over

notice people, i hate to sound bitchy, but it's songMEANINGS.net. i9 don't want to waste scrollingdown to see your empty comments on the song. got it?

I don't completely understand this song yet, i'll have to listen to it more, but, to my current understanding it's about a girl, obviously.

She has to cut it away may mean cutting, literally, or isolating herself and forcing things that hurt her or her problems away from her, as if bottling up her emitions and faking it for everyone around her.

And by the speaker saying "i'll be taking over", maybe as in taking advantage of her, or saying that he will take away her pain, or both. Promising her that he'll be there for her and cares about what she says. hmm i dunno i feel like i might be missing the true meaning, i'll comment back once i hear some more opinions on the MEANING.

Hey Donielle. I suggest you shut the hell up. People can put whatever they want.

As for me. I think it's about the harms maniplative realationships can induce on someone.

    And it is. Fuckin' sexy.

Personally, I think the song is about sex, and taking the girls' virginity, then wanting to do it again. The title also being, "Breathless" puts that idea into mind.

"Watch it go, watch it go, watch it go" Means she is losing her virginity.

"And she knows, see she knows It's like a fatal disease, you'll hear her cry ohh" Means she knows that afterward, she is going to want to have sex again. And you'll hear her cry, meaning an orgasm.

"Got you anyway I'm gonna say that I've been takin over Come, let's go again Tell me when And I'll be taking over" He is saying he has her by taking her virginity and he's experienced and "taking over." Then saying he'll do again, and she has to tell him when.

Not trying to sounds like all that is on my mind is sex either, haha. It just seemed logical to me, that's all.

I dunno, I think this song is about the guy going into the relationship thinking it will all be about the physical aspects and that he really doesn't care about her. I think the contradictions in the chorus emphasize this; he tells her one thing, but the truth is that he'll do the opposite. He feels like he has all control in the relationship. He's "been taking over". Voila! Wait for it, here it comes... And then he realizes that he's over his head, and that he's fallen for this girl. He finds himself immersed in every detail about her, every thing she says. "And time stands still It's like a picture (I think of every word you say) And time moves on to the next one I think of every word you said"

Anyways, that's my take on it. In any case, it's a really mezmerizing song, eh?

Standing On The Edge Of Summer

In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
