"The White Unicorn" as written by Andrew James Stockdale, Myles Heskett and Christopher James Ross....
Have you been to the carnival
I would like to see you
There's a whole lot of people there
Who would like to be you
With the white unicorn, across her shoulder
Makes you think that she might of been
Someone who's older, ahh yeah

Oh, its on your eyes,
With a drink from her wine.
But we drank for the seventh time,
Now we live in another time
We could live together

She lives on the borderline, that they call hazel
And the tent that she lives in,has the name of her lover,
As she lays down to rest, she dreamt of another
Of a time when she once had

Oh, oh, its on your eyes,
With a drink from her wine.
But we drank for the seventh time,
Now we live in another time
We could live together

Oh, oh, its on your eyes,
With a drink from her wine.
But we drank for the seventh time,
Now we live in another time
We could live together
We could live together

General CommentThis song is delicious! Me and my friends learned how to play it, (not on guitar hero or somethi8ng homo like that.) But this song is like an orgy in the ears.

General CommentGeez, Most of these lyrics are wrong! schmeh, here are3 the ones from the WOlfmother booklet:

Have you been to the carnival
I would like to see you
There's ma whole lot of people there
Who would like to be you
With the white unicorn across her shoulder
Made you think that she might have been
    Someone who's older

And I know it's on your mind
We've been drinking on the whine
That we drank from the serpents vine
Now we live in another time

    We could live together

She lives on the border line
    That they call hazy
And the tent that she lives in
Has the name of her lover

And I know it's on your mind
We've been drinking on the whine
That we drank from the serpents vine
Now we live in another time

Sister can you tell me when the days turn to night
She left without a word and wondered inside
How many days must I still wonder why
And see her face in every passer by

    We could live together

And I know it's on your mind
We've been drinking on the whine
That we drank from the serpents vine
Now we live in another time

    We could live together

General CommentOh! also there was (in 05) a huge Unicorn made of plaster there... again... possible burning man refference...

And also the whole "we can live together" thing is an easy link.

General CommentAllot of songs by Wolfmother make reference to the annual event of "Burning Man" at Burning Man.. burningman.com

Burning Man is probably the largest Carnival in the world... it lasts 1 whole week and around 40,000 people show up (over 40,000 in 2005) from all over the world...

A clever lyric can be seen in:

    She lives on the borderline
    That they call hazy

The Layout of the festival is a large circle wich is split in to a cross section of roads the beginning letter of each in alphabetical order and numbers... one of the street names is "Hazy" (H) its the 8th street from the centre.

I have no quotes or proof I'm right... its simply a running trend through out their album.

General CommentDude, you're so right. About half way through the song, the guitar and drums have "careful with that axe, Eugene" written all over it.
