"Apple Tree" as written by Andrew James Stockdale, Myles Heskett and Christopher James Ross....
Nyssa, can you remember me,
I'm the one who picked the apple tree
Nyssa, can you remember me
I'm the one who picked the apple tree

Nyssa, can you remember me,
I'm the one who picked the apple tree,
Nyssa sir, can you remember me
I'm the one who picked the apple tree

Your doctor is so blind to see,
Unravel some mystery in me,
When I see the apples feed the skies,
All my love I can't recognize,

Nyssa, can you remember me,
I'm the one who picked the apple tree,
Nyssa, can you remember me
I'm the one who picked the apple tree

Nyssa, can you remember me,
I'm the one who picked the apple tree,
Nyssa, can you remember me
I'm the one who picked the apple tree

Your doctor is so blind to see,
Unravel some mystery in me,
When I see the apples feed the skies,
All my love I can't recognize,

Nyssa, can you remember me,
I'm the one who picked the apple tree,
Nyssa, can you remember me
I'm the one who picked the apple tree

General CommentAlthough i do not doubt the accuracy of the lyrics as represented in the book: ador.. makes a well informed point about the serpent Nyssa (thanks for that) that does make sense. Also having seen the absolutic fantastic live set that was recently on the ABC. it does sound-and look, like he is saying Nyssa. Maybe they are being clever bastards? Either way, the are pretty bloody fab, and I dont care about the critismn of them being retro, anybody trying to create music in the vain of Zep etc. can not be a really bad thing.
Cant wait to see them at BDO (&wolfncub&whitestipes&KingsofLeon&Go-team&Beasts of Bourbon&Gerling&&&&....!!)

General CommentI bought the Wolfmother album and in the booklet the lyrics are:

Dear Sir, can you remember me,
I'm the one that picked the apple tree
Dear Sir, can you remember me
I'm the one that picked the apple tree

Dear Sir, can you remember me,
Have a look inside the family tree
Dear Sir, can you remember me
Have a look inside the family tree

Your daughter is so fine to see,
    Unraveled some mystery in me,
When i see the apple in disguise,
Ohh my love i can recognize,

Dear Sir, can you remember me,
I'm the one that picked the apple tree,
Dear Sir, can you remember me
I'm the one that picked the apple tree

Dear Sir, can you remember me,
I seen the forest for the tree,
Dear Sir, can you remember me
I seen the forest for the tree

Your daughter is so fine to see,
    Unraveled some mystery in me,
When i see the apple in disguise,
Ohh my love i can recognize,

Dear Sir, can you remember me,
I'm the one that picked the apple tree,
Dear Sir, can you remember me
I'm the one that picked the apple tree
