"Lost To Apathy" as written by Mikael Bengt Stanne, Martin Brandstrom, Mikael Niklasson, Anders Jivarp, Niklas Bo Sundin and Martin Henriksson....
The unsaid tone of weak despair fail to resonate
Frayed ends of our binding threads will disintegrate
By laws our physique state
Failure to communicate

None too sentient
Hear no, see no works its magic
Against all function
Ongoing choices the trials will end

Filter the nonsense and laugh at what's left
Matters taken away

Look at the shell that is you
Empty, fragile , weak
Soon the battle is over, lost to apathy

So overcome with pointless tears
To test pain receptors
Nothing matters ever here
Put up a non reaction
These eyes will never see, covered up from reality

The unknown world that you deny
No priority, cannot fail if you never start
How predictable
I want to know where did it end?

For madness to start
Always the sceptic never be part
Introvertive/nondescriptive it matters not

General CommentPretty obvious meaning on this song, at least for those that have experienced or witnessed what the song is about (which I would expect would be everyone but based on the comments that is not so). It is about using apathy as a coping mechanism for personal problems and for the world as a whole. This song helps me personally to overcome apathy but it is still hard... for me, disconnecting myself from everything is something like an addiction, I know that I could do greater things if I let myself but in the short-term it is easier to just be numb to everything. Another song about this type of thing is Disconnected by In Flames. The sad thing is I know people like me that give in to apathy are the ones that care enough about the world to make it a better place, but their reaction to disliking things is to ignore them rather than changing them.

General CommentIt's about giving up on life in the name of apathy when you're really just scared to try.

    General CommentI like this song...

Although I don't agree with the sentiment...

I much prefer to be apathetic than empowered and motivated...

    General Commentfucking love this song
seeing them in 10 days yeyy ^_^ with the haunted:)

well the song. just like everyone said it's about being scared to try but even more than that, just not caring. I think (I said think.. it's my opinion, you don't have to agree) that it's talking about our generation and how numb we are to others and to the truth in the world ("covered up from reality") so we sell ourselves to fake and unreal things, materialism.. so all we have left is an empty shell, nothing within (empty, fragile and weak), because we stopped caring.
