"The New Build" as written by Mikael Bengt Stanne, Martin Brandstrom, Mikael Niklasson, Anders Jivarp, Niklas Bo Sundin and Martin Henriksson....
A human force, stronger than logic
Beyond the focus and the grander ideas
One micro-cosmos in this wretched piece of hell
Distant memories of what empathy we felt
No revolution in what they must overthrow
In on a secret we all know
The need that is our enemy

I don't ever want to see you, doing all the same things as me
Don't ever let this be you, knowing what it is that drives me

It's all in the future, said with one foot in the grave
All in the plan of what we never could achieve
No satisfaction
We excuse ourselves from progress
By post-altering our motives, stories set to match
Whatever beat that drives the impulse, whatever tune that carries through
What's in a soul that rattles empty, in this reality too few
Our reach is never wider than the depth of what we grasp
A vicious curse on all that we partake in/side the conflict
Where no one is the wiser
A space invaded, a face invaded, my space invaded
Selfish doesn't begin to cover the sense in this utopia
Of one to escape the arguments to put another filter on

General CommentThis looks like a song about not accomplishing what you want and covering it up. The singer is saying dont be like me and drive your self to accomplish it.

General CommentTo me this song is abut struggles beyond your better judgment. Knowing the backward path it is taking you, yet being unable to stop. It is giving in to a desire to help cope with the unpleasant by numbing all else as well. This song resonates with easing the present while straining the future. With addictions. It is also a warning:
I don’t ever want to see you
doing all the same things as me
Don’t ever let this be you
knowing what it is that drives me

General CommentTo me this song is about jealousy:

    "A human force..."

We all know that jealousy is a human thing, everyone has it every now and then.

    The chorus:

"I dont ever want to see you
doing all the same things as me
Dont ever let this be you
knowing what it is that drives me"

He doesn't want others to do exactly the same things as he does, he wants them to just think of something to do for themselves.

    "No satisfaction
    We excuse ourselves from progress"

People often aren't satisfied with what they've got themselves when they see what others have got, and then they try to get that, and others get better things, and thus it never ends.

    That's just my interpretation:)

General CommentI kinda see it as diversifying yourself from others and pushing forward with new ideas instead of wallowing in the same ol' shit.
