I don’t want to think about you anymore
I don’t want to think about you anymore
Cause you’ve been on my mind
For such an endless stretch of time
And I don’t want to think about you anymore

I’ve got to clear my head
Of everything you ever did
Of everything you ever said
I’ve got to clear my head
Of everything you ever did
Of everything you ever said

I don’t want to put my trust in anyone
I don’t want to put my trust in anyone
Cause nothing that I knew
Turned out to be true
And I don’t want to put my trust in anyone

I’ve got to clear my head
Of everything you ever did
Of everything you ever said
I’ve got to clear my head
Of everything you ever did
Of everything you ever said

General CommentIt's about a person who's so sick & tired of thinking about the person that he / she likes, but does not like back. The person is also saying just how much she realized that she'd rather live in this world without anybody else, because people would just use her or they would just break her.

You have to love Ivy. Their lyrics are so deep & meaningful. I cant wait till their new album! *squee*

General CommentBeautiful song. The meaning is very clear. I agree with whee's interpretation.

It's chilling because this is exactly how I've been feeling lately. Torn deeply because you love someone with complete apathy toward you. So what do you do? Continue to pine after him/her, or erase him/her from your life?

It reminds me of that verse in The Decemberist's "The Engine Driver":

"And I am a writer, writer of fictions
I am the heart that you call home
And I've written pages upon pages
Trying to rid you from my bones"
