The bass
The rock
The mic
The treble

I like my coffee black
Just like my metal
With the bass
The rock

The mic
The treble
I like my coffee black
Just like my metal

I can't wait for you to fuck me up
In a minute, minute
In a fuckin' minute
I can't wait for you to fuck me up

In a minute, minute
In a second

I can't wait for you to shut me up
And make me hip like badass
I can't wait for you to shut me up
Shut it up

I can't wait for you to shut me up
And make me hip like badass
I can't wait for you to shut me up
Shut it up

The bass
The rock
The mic
The treble

I like my coffee black
Just like my metal
With the bass
The rock

The mic
The treble
I like my coffee black
Just like my metal

I can't wait for you to fuck me up
In a minute, minute
In a fuckin' minute
I can't wait for you to fuck me up

In a minute, minute
In a second

I can't wait for you to shut me up
And make me hip like badass
I can't wait for you to shut me up
Shut it up

I can't wait for you to shut me up
And make me hip like badass
I can't wait for you to shut me up
Shut it up

I don't buy your body right now, right now
I'm almost over my body right now, now
I'm on my way to the party right now, right now
I don't buy your body right now, right now

I'm almost over my body right now, now
I'm on my way to the party right now, right now
Because the (bass? break?), the (bass? the break?)

I can't wait for you to shut me up
And make me hip like badass
I can't wait for you to shut me up
Shut it up

I can't wait for you to shut me up
And make me hip like badass
I can't wait for you to shut me up
Shut it up

Hmm..this makes me think about the quote on the back of their second album Frankenstein Girls Will Seem Strangely Sexy

"It's the Suppression of the word that gives it the power, the violence, the viciousness" - Lenny Bruce

This song is about them being censored, Jimmy Urine is saying bring on the censorship because it will only make their songs more powerful and popular because when they "shut him up" it'll make him look like a rebel and he'll be "hip like badass.

I think it's about censorship and selling out basically, he's saying he can't wait til producers shut him up and write the words for him so that he can sound cool(sarcastically of course)

I, myself, doubt this song has much sexual meaning. More or less it's about censorship and the video even reinforced that. With the boy going crazy and the beginning, they're playing on what most 'logical' people think. That if you listen to rock music, you will go crazy and hurt/kill others. Isn't that what has happened to Marilyn Manson and Judas Priest? Blamed for things other kids did, just because of their music. In a way, I think that's what they mean by this whole thing. They're being censored and I think it probably pissed the band off, how would you feel if people tried to change something you put all your time in? Tried to change you into another clone. I don't see where a sexual innuendo would come into play, maybe the whip? But other than that, it seems like he's challenging the industry to change the band and the music.

Good lord, is there ANY Mindless Self Indulgence song that someone will not attribute to sex?

Personally, I always thought the song was a statement to people who didn't like their shit and told them they're a bunch of faggots (Like in "F" from their preceding album). It's intended to call them out on their threats and ask them to follow through, knowing that they're just insecure pricks in reality.

At least that's the impression I get. Not a lot to this song lyrically, so it's very open to interpretation.

    My Interpretation

"The bass The rock The mic The Treble. I like my coffee black just like my metal." I think this is saying that he really likes the show business, the art of performance and such... "I can't wait for you to knock me up" 'knocked up' is typically a negative slang, so far saying that he loves what he does, but the business involves a lot of screwing him over, but he accepts it. "I can't wait" saying a sort of "bring it on bitches" "I can't wait for you to shut me up.... I can't wait for you to fuck me up." I know ur gonna try to censor me, but not only am I gonna keep doing what I want, I dare you to challenge me. I'm gonna do what I want because I want to :) good message.

In my opinion , i think this ither means a guy loving the thought of being fucked up/beat up, relating to gore. if not, defenentally some sexy bdsm shit where he loves when people hurt him in a sexual mannar like being slapped on the ass, wax play, hair pulling, ball gags, ropes, leashes, blindfolds, all that good stuff. in my opinion it has a really fuckin sexual meaning, but im sure the creators might come up with the actual meaning some time soon

i don't think its about sex. taken literally, "fuck me up" is different than "fuck me," so by johnny c's logic it doesn't add up. of course thats just in my opinion. i think its basically a guy who likes metal who is angry. he's perfectly aware that everyone else is angry at him as well and possibly want to harm him "fuck me up/shut me up." he knows they all hate him and there's kinda a point where your self-pity turns and you just gotta step up and take what you'll get.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
