"Since You've Been Gone" as written by Bernard Joseph Fanning, Darren Stuart Middleton, John Andrew Collins, Ian David Haug and Jonathan Robert Coghill....
There's a truth begging to be told as the blues grab and take a hold
To continue like this only acts as a force for no good

I just want to say that I miss you and I've felt pitiful since you've been gone
I'm just trying to say I need something I can lean against
So I'm going to steady myself on a reliable friend

There's a weight dragging through my days that I spend trying to fill the space
That's been there since the day that we parted and made our goodbyes

There's a truth begging to be told as the blues grab and take a hold
And I just can't believe when i wake up tht you could be gone

General CommentBernard's brother had died before Vulture Street came out, and he says that most of the songs on that album were about him, even though they can apply to break ups or something.

    Awesome song, btw.

General Commenti love the "ahh ahh" bit.. it's funny how such a sad lyrics can be put to the most catchy, fun, upbeat music.
i think i might've seen the same doco as bury-me-high.. i remember bernard saying that grief is a long process. i like bernard's speaking voice.

General Comment"to continue like this only acts as a force for no good" this is refering to how poeple tend to suppress there emotions in regard to the grieving process He is saying that you need to get it of your chest and accept what has happend rather that let it drag you down.
