I could have the tallest building
I could have my face everywhere
I could have a helicopter
With my name written on the side

How'd you know?
I've got this feeling
How'd you know?
I can't explain it
How'd you know?
I've got the juice
I've got it all
But I don't have you
I don't have you (x6)
'Cuz I don’t want to

I could have a swimming pool
I could have a waterslide
I could have a bowling alley
But I don't need no bumper lanes

How'd you know?
I've got this feeling
How'd you know?
I can't explain it
How'd you know?
I've got the juice
I've got it all
But I don't have you
I don't have you (x6)
'Cuz I don’t want to

I'll take you on my battleship
To where your family lives
You wear nothing but the finest clothes
I see you made it big

I will be loved easily
I'll make you realize
That I'm the best man for you
I'm not your valentine

All this can be done
If I had the juice
Get down, you know I'm right
Turn around and dry your eyes
Your eyes

I could have my own country
I could have my own fast-food chain
I could know the famous people
And I could throw the wildest parties

How'd you know?
I've got this feeling
How'd you know?
I can't explain it
How'd you know?
I've got the juice
I've got it all
But I don't have you
I don't have you (x6)
'Cuz I don't want to
You-ooh-ooh

How do you know?
How could you know?
How do you know?
How could you know?

I like this song, the first time I heard it I went to the internet to get it. As to what it means I have to clear veiw, at first I think it's about someone who thinks that no matter what they have they will never be able to be the person that this girl wants. He starts off with naming all these things that usually we see as a sign of wealth and power and says that he doesn't have her, but then makes the statement because I don't want to. That is where for me the confusement begins and I start to think maybe he does want her, but is bitter about the fact that she doesn't want him, so he is reclaiming his pride by saying I don't have you, because I don't want to. And when I hear I will be loved easily, I'll make you realize, That I'm the best man for you, I'm not your valentine only makes it seem more that that is the issue.

The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,
