"Move to the Other Side of the Block" as written by and Stephen Bryce Avary....
So we try and try all of our life working
With such pride making cash just to survive
As we race and grade and judge away other folks mistakes
Makes us good to feel that way. And don't you know, it never
Stops. Try to please the world and beat the ticking
Clocks, but I, I'm not letting it happen this time.

No no because if you don't fail, and reach your bail,
I feel so secure when I'm in this jail, but I, I'm not letting it
Happen this time

So I'll move to the other side of the block
So we won't ever have to stop making the rounds, having the laughs
Singing the sounds of relaxing, and on the other side
Of the clock the power switch will be off and all will be well and
Time will stand still, and I will be locked out from my jail.

General CommentShortness aside this song haunted me in my dreams last night and I woke up needing to download it. What an amazing song- even if it is short :)

General Commenti'm glad this song has at least some comments, it deserves it :)
this is probably one of my favorite earlier songs from bryce. it's short, but sweet- like a lot of his beginning stuff. i think it's just about taking a step back and seeing things on a bigger scale, putting things into perspective and being able to enjoy even the small things that make life worthwhile [the later part of the song]
    love it.

General Commenti think its about realizing everyone is equal and that bryce doesnt want to be around the people who "As we race, and grade, and judge always,
Other folks mistakes," just to make themselves feel better, and how is just gonna leave it all behind so he can be around the people who just want to have fun and not put others down

Song MeaningI think this song is about slowing down and enjoying life, rather than living for work.

"And don't you know, it never stops,
You try to please the world to beat the ticking clocks,
But I, I'm not letting it happen this time, no no"
