"Prelude To Fear" as written by Les Claypool, Todd Huth and Jay Lane....
Possibilities; unaware, self-appointed bystandard of complete innocence.
Midday, aerobic jog, through streets not well lit by lamplight.
Prelude to Fear.

Perhaps; Picnic, setting of complete relaxation.
The sound, persists. The site, exists.
Disarray. Prelude to Fear.

But hey, fumble, growth of conscienceness.
Focusing, slow but steady, weirdness creeps.
Prelude to Fear.

Parallel, retrospective, deep sense of curiousity.

Retribution. React! Evaluate. React!
[Retribution. React! Evaluate. The Act! ?]

Caution. Prelude to Fear.

Physical sensation, the chill. The possiblity of mobility.
Abstract, sensation, waiting for the words.
This is only a test. This is only a test.

General CommentThe lyrics read like a script, especially for a play.

Most artforms work with tone, and this applies to music and theater. While watching some sort of theater performance, all these aspects that go into setting a specific mood (like a "Prelude to Fear") aren't directly told to the audience. Instead, they're expressed by these things in the lyrics, "Midday, aerobic jog, through streets not well lit by lamplight."

So what's the meaning? I don't know if it goes beyond Claypool's facetious sense of humor. But I do like this song a lot.

General CommentThis song is a series of vignettes used to bring about visuals having to do with the concept of fear. nothing more, nothing less.
