Put your glasses on
blend into the crowd
cause you know your different
and your scared to make a sound
will they take you in
you're an alien
but its for a greater cause
then they can understand

the world needs a superhero
will you let your gift hide for the sake of your pride
will you live your life and amount to zero
the world needs a superhero
will you take to the sky in the blink of an eye
will you give your life superhero

now you must decide
what life you will live
are you making history or will you be a myth
time is running out
will you face the truth
i can see it in your eyes so go find your phone booth

the world needs a superhero
will you let your gift hide for the sake of your pride
will you live your life and amount to zero
the world needs a superhero
will you take to the sky in the blink of an eye
will you give your life superhero

will you save the day
will you save the day
the world is calling out
will you pretend its all okay
will you save the day
will you save the day
Show them what your made of
they are waiting
fly away

the world needs a superhero
will you let your gift hide for the sake of your pride
will you live your life and amount to zero
the world needs a superhero
will you take to the sky in the blink of an eye
will you give your life superhero

General CommentAs christ followers, we're called to be the hands and feet of God. This song, to me, is about standing out of the crowd, being a radical christian. we struggle with pride; sitting by the guy who everyone hates during lunch will make us look bad. so we don't do it. but, that's what Jesus did. he loved the rejected, healed the sick that no one dared touch. we're here to show God's love, not become one with this world. this world is not for us. a very good song. :)
