Chained to an anchor
it’s pulling me under
this is so deep
it’s getting darker
breathe in deep
I can’t reach the surface
I know this is where I’ll die if I can’t reach the surface
can I see you again
in your dreams you said
or when one of us is dead
hold you in my arms again
I don’t care if you’re there
I don’t care if you’re there
kiss kiss
I hope you still dream of me like I dream of you
I’ll be with you again
asleep and safe from your goodbyes
away from your eyes
I swear if you let me kiss you one last time
I’ll be alright
I’ll be alright
I’ll be alright
I’ll be alright
I can’t keep this together
I can’t stay here forever
I’ll see you in my dreams

General CommentSo the peson is slowly dying, emotionally draining and just being pulled deeper in depression, and the only thing that will let them survive is a certain person, who doesn't want to see them again until they die, or in their dreams. He knows she won't care about him anymore or be there for him at all, but he just wants one more kiss from her, apparently it will make everthing alright then.

Since he knows that isn't likely, and he can't hold himself together much longer, well, then he is pretty much saying goodbye and he'll see her in his dreams.
