Don't question any lies, there's no reason to fight

Another trick, to cause your denial
The egde is stripped and your hope is gone
Another trap, for you to fall into
You swallow every drip down the edge of your mind
Edge of your mind...

The shot at your system is the past
It's leading the way through the web of desire
Heal the open wounds in your chest
Fate is destruction...

Kill every soul, if it's a matter of do or die
Kill every soul, if it's a matter of time

Just remember, where you've spent your time
Can't respect all the tears you have cried!
Just remember, how you've changed your life
Can't change your fate with a pitiful cry!
Pitiful cry...

Don't question any lies, there's no reason to fight
Another trick, to cause your denial
The egde is stripped and your hope is gone
Another trap, for you to fall into

Kill every soul, if it's a matter of do or die
Kill every soul, if it's a matter of time

Just remember, where you've spent your time
Can't respect all the tears you have cried!
Just remember, how you've changed your life
Can't change your fate with a pitiful cry!

There's a way you can delve much deeper
If you think it's alright
Assorting the right from the wrong ones
That you have learned so well
So well...

You're stuck you can't remember
The light is turning dim
You're trapped although you've been there
A thousand times before

You're stuck you can't remember
The light is turning dim
You're trapped although you've been there
A thousand times before

Crestfallen be thy name
CRESTFALLEN... BE... THY... NAME!

He works with depressed teenagers when he's not singing for Soilwork, I know that inspires a lot of his songs. Whether thats the case with this song, I dunno.

Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
