"Serenade" as written by Jeymes Samuel and Daniel Carey....
New world forming
Picturesque in its stance
Midnight calling
Moonlight shadows start to dance

For the dark finds ways of being
Engraved in the light
And the heart bears indentations
Of yesterdays hurting child
The now we will run with smiles
The morrow will heal the night so
Morning comes
Midnight make fast with the sun
I can hear my name be reborn
On the cloud within the sky beneath the dawn

Oh I
Serenade the dawn
Serenade the dawn
Serenade the dawn

For the dark finds ways of being
Engraved in the light
And the heart bears indentations
Of yesterdays hurting child
The now we will run with smiles
The morrow will heal the night so
Morning comes
Midnight make fast with the sun
I can hear my name be reborn
On the cloud within the sky beneath the dawn

Oh I
Serenade the dawn
Serenade the dawn
Serenade the dawn

Da da da da dumb dumb
Da dumb dumb
Da da da da dumb dumb
Da dumb dum

General CommentI believe Emiliana is singing a song that incorporates the elements of, tragedy, pain, beauty, and an amazing beautiful spirit that is a main theme of most her music. This particular song, however, might be a pledge to herself and to all people to live for the moment sort of speak. She expresses that the dark is always found in the light, and that the heart always remembers the feeling of pains of yesterday. So why sing a serenade tomorrow ? ,Torrini asks. Why not live for now and experience all of todays beauty and tragedy , the essence of life, rather than place the burden of spiritual life on the next days dawn. Today has as much life and beauty in it as tomorrow does.

Whimsical, un earthly like song. Certainly a favorite for the past couple years of my life.

General CommentEmiliana has such a beautyful voice, Every time I hear it transports me to another dimension entirely... This song is relaxing indeed and I can't hear it without thinking of Grey's Anatomy, I don't know why :P

But I really can't decipher its meaning, she is using too many metaphors here, I just can't figure it out!
