"Sugar" as written by and Daniel Hunt....
If I give you sugar, will you give me something elusive and temporary?
If I give you sugar, will you give me something elusive and temporary?
We've got the signal to leave you alone,
Off where we leave you and off where we find you.
If I give you sugar, will you give me something elusive and temporary?

If I give you sugar, will you give me something elusive and temporary?
If I give you sugar, will you give me something elusive and temporary?
We've got the signal to leave you alone,
Off where we leave you and off where we find you.
If I give you sugar, will you give me something elusive and temporary?

If I give you sugar, will you give me something elusive and temporary?
If I give you sugar, will you give me something elusive and temporary?
We've got the signal to leave you alone,
Off where we leave you and off where we find you.
If I give you sugar, will you give me something elusive and temporary?

General CommentTo me, the song seems to be about a relationship (or lack thereof) with someone who is acting as if he is interested in the singer but who ultimately won't commit to her in the end. If she gives him "sugar" - which can be interpreted as love, sex, or both - he might give her "something elusive and temporary" - the promise of a relationship that's never actually going to happen. She's already seeing the signs that he can't follow through and knows that she should just leave him alone, yet she still wonders what would really happen if she got involved with him anyway.

General CommentThese lyrics are all wrong, the second part is:

We get a signal to leave you alone
If that's were we leave you, that's were we find you.

General CommentTo me, it seems like a cynical and frustrated approach to relationships.

General CommentYeah, Sharkface is right. I thought the cocaine reference was obvious really, seing how 90% of ladytron songs are about drugs, and 'elusive and temporary' is referring to sex.

The video is awesome as well.

General CommentThis song is clearly about pickled onions. It's pretty obvious, and, honestly, I think you'd have to be kinda stupid not to get it, especially seeing how every single song Ladytron have ever written is about pickled onions.

General Commentit's about trading cocaine for love from someone who obviously cares only about being alone with his drug. And this love is obviously elusive and not genuine.
