"Alcoba Azul" as written by and Elliot Bruce/varela Goldenthal....
La noche ira sin prisa de nostalgia
Habrá de ser un tango nuestra herida
Un acordeón sangriento nuestas almas
Seremos esta noche todo el día

Vuelve a mí
Ámame sin luz
En nuestra alcoba azul
Donde no hubo sol para nosotros

Ciégame
Mata mi corazón
En nuestra alcoba azul
Mi Amor

General CommentThe night wrath without nostalgia haste.
There will be to be a tango our wound.
    A bloody accordion nuestas souls.
We will be tonight all the day. It returns to me.
Ámame without light. In our blue alcove.
Where there was no sun for us.
    Ciégame.
It kills my heart. In our blue alcove. My Love.

General CommentThe night will continue without the haste of nostalgia
This tango will be our wound
And this bleeding accordian will represent our souls
This night will be our day, all of our days

    Come back to me
Love me without the need of light, in our blue alcove
Where there was never any sun to shine on us

    Blind me
Kill my heart in our shared blue alcove,
    My love

This song is absolutely perfect. It depicts the heartaches that a woman has gone through because of the one whom she truley loves. She cant bear to be without him, therefore she seeks the solace of a time when the physical attractions did not cloud the two's shared love. She yearns for him to love her in the dark, that way they'll just have each other's thoughts and sensations, rather than simple lust. The tango itself is a very powerful song which works very well in conveying the singers feelings. It is said that for the tango to be danced correctly, there has to be a certain level of chemsitry between those dancing. Be it love or lust...clearly, this song can only be appreciated through those who are experiencing it...

My InterpretationThe song expresses the pain of two lovers who are unable to find true happiness together, yet they are irresistibly drawn to each other. All they have are their dark passionate nights, in which they try to hide from their mutual distance and pain they cause to each other again and again in the light of day. The true light of happiness never enters their bedroom - they just close their eyes to the impending end and torture their hearts in mutual carnal bliss.
