You say I'm alright
But do you know how I feel?
Can you say you know what its like
To be me, I can't justify whats real
And whats not anymore
I've been living in a world
Of make believe
Its done nothing for me
But make things harder
When I try to get better
You fuck me up again
Knock me down and make me feel like shit again
I'm tired of this life you've forced upon me

I just want to be free
Sick of living under your rule
Who the fuck died
And made you queen of the world?

My world comes crashing down on me
And I know its my fault
Cause you're always right
And thats what you always tell me
And I'm too stupid to know otherwise
So obviously, you're right
And like always
I'm in the wrong, I'm the fuck up
I'm the one, who shoulda died
It wasn't my fault I lived
Its just my fault I didn't do it right
Otherwise, I'd be gone now
And your little world would be perfect
Everythings perfect
So long as I'm not around

Everytime I try to fix things
You fuck 'em up and blame me
But according to you
I fucked everything up
Cause, its always my fault

So, once again, I say I'm sorry
Sorry I lived
Sorry I fucked your world up
Sorry I didn't die
When I was supposed to
Give me a little time
And I'll be out of your life
Just throw my body in a river somewhere
No ones gonna miss me
Isn't that what you always told me?
No ones gonna look for me
I'm just another fucked up kid
Who'd care that I was gone?
Guess you were right all along
And as always, I was in the wrong...

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Midnight
Ed Sheeran
“Midnight” is a song about finding a love that is so true that it provides a calming feeling through every storm. Ed Sheeran reflects on his good fortunes in landing someone with such peace and support and speaks of not fearing the dark days because he knows they’ll all end in the safety nets of her arms. “Well, good morning there / What a way to start the day / With everything laid bare,” Ed Sheeran sings in the first verse, enthusiastic to be waking up beside his woman. He apologizes for missing her calls in the second verse and promises to return them because for him, speaking to her is the most important thing. “Well, I get lost inside my head / In this chaos, you’re my calm / And I will find my feet again / ‘Cause еven the worst days of my life will always еnd / At midnight in your arms,” sings Ed Sheeran in the chorus, revelling in his good luck.
