In regards to the meaning of this song:
Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.”
That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.
At 1am, she's just waiting like a shadow
Black eyes, black hair, but she don't care
That I want her, that I need her
Oh yeah, I need her
I need her heart 'cause mine is broken
I need her heart 'cause mine is broken
At 1am, he's just walking like a demon
Blue eyes, black hair, but he don't care
That I want him, that I need him
Oh yeah, I need him
I need his heart 'cause mine is broken
I need her heart 'cause mine is broken
Broken
At 1am, at 1am at 1am, at 1am
At 1am, at 1am
I got this feeling, got this feeling
(yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
I got this feeling, I got this feeling
I got this feeling, I got this feeling
I got this feeling, I got this feeling
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah at 1am

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve.
The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future.
Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere"
The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
Holiday

@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday".
I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield

I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example:
"'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
this song rules. i think it's basically about when the guitarist and bassist met. cause they're going out and all - it would make sense. simple lyrics but i think it's great!
just seen the subways tonight there shit hot.. this song rocks
An abstracted meeting of Billy and Mary-Charlotte, maybe - as I understand it, they actually met in a local swimming pool, so that's not quite as dramatic ;)
yeah they met at a swimming competition! this song is fab. they are brilliant live as well, go see them if you get a chance!
An excellent song, but on the album it's on the same track as Somewhere! Hidden tracks are so dumb, they spoil two songs...
i saw them live on friday and this song is amazing live.
2 people meeting each other as the song suggests? its a great song by a great band
this song is SO freaking rad. love it to death.
I beg 2 differ.
The band have an uncommon line-up, consisting of fiancés (Billy Lunn and Charlotte Cooper), and also, despite the different surnames, two brothers (Billy Lunn and Josh Morgan). Singer/guitarist Billy Lunn and bassist Charlotte Cooper revealed news of their engagement to the crowd at a gig at the Camden Barfly on July 18, 2005.
i saw somewhere that they knew each other from school
yeah about when billy and charlotte met but i also think it refers to when two people like each other but are afraid of going for it because they don't think the other person feels the same, but they actually do as well
