"Goodbye" as written by Andrea Jane Corr, Caroline Corr, James Corr and Sharon Corr....
I never thought one day you'd be gone, away forever more
No one can say, no one could explain why you were taken

Oh, where are you now?
Could I get there somehow?

It's time to say goodbye
Block out the sun and pack up the sky
Don't let my tears start to make you cry
Each time I try to say my goodbye
Try to stop asking why

Tell me it's true, tell me there's something more
Another time for love
One day I'll know, one day I'll be there
Will you be waiting?

Oh, where are you now?
Could I get there somehow?

It's time to say goodbye
Block out the sun and pack up the sky
Don't let my tears start to make you cry
Each time I try to say my goodbye
Try to stop asking why
Try to stop asking why, yea

Where are you now?
Could I get there somehow?

It's time to say goodbye
Block out the sun and pack up the sky
Don't let my tears start to make you cry
Each time I try to say my goodbye
Try to stop asking why, way
Try to say my goodbye

General CommentThis song expresses how hard it can be to say goodbye to someone, and how everything changes, seemingly for the worse, when you're without them. This person chases you and wants you back when you try to leave them, but you're trying to show them that there is nothing left to stay for.

Just a reflection on this song on a personal experience.

General CommentThis song was about their mother who passed away in late 1999. Great song, and even better live in concert. Apparently there is also some connection between their mother and the lyric Its time to say goodbye. Ive heard it was either a movie or song that she had loved.

General Commenta very sad song written to their mother. Very catchy and upbeat sounding for what the lyrics are.

General CommentSharon has her own version of this song,as she wrote it.I prefer her voice to Andrea's,because her voice is softer and quieter.
